Loop 1500

I had heard that loop 1500's comfort station was being refurbished. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, did they do any upgrades to the campsites in 1500?

We will be there the end of April, and are so hoping for a campsite in that loop....
Any suggestions for particular campsites?

A couple of weeks ago they were still working on the comfort station. The new tiles were stacked outside of the comfort station. There were trucks and trailers parked all around the loop. Don't know the exact nature of the work, but considering how long it has been closed and all, I would say they are going through everything.

I was at the Fort last weekend. The renovations to the 1500 loop are done, and there were campers in the sites. It looks like they re-did the sand pads, and put down a lot of sod and pine straw mulch. The tether ball court at the entry had new sand. It looks good. It looked to me like the comfort station work was done, too.

One of the comfort stations in the 2000 loop was getting a new roof that weekend. Not sure about whether any work was going on inside either of them.
