We won't be dining at Coral Reef again anytime soon. Went there for lunch today. Seated quickly - maybe a 5 minute wait. Our table was at the far end of the dining room - 5 people "squeezed" into a semi-circle table. I would recommend requesting a table for families of 5.

Waiter was quick to stop by and say that he would be back, but it took over 15 minutes for him to come back. I think it was actually more like 20 minutes.

After receiving our order (which was "ok"), we waited over 20 minutes to see our waiter again!!! We wanted the kids sundaes and to get moving (it had already been over an hour). I WAS going to order dessert, but didn't want to add to the wait.

Our glasses were empty twice - with long wait for refills.

Overall, we spent 1 hour and 35 minutes between sitting and leaving. This in and of itself, I would have overlooked, but the long waits for drink refills and dessert/bill definitely will keep us from returning.

We ate there last Thursday and it did take a while. We were in that restaurant for almost 2 hours. But it was a good meal.

:thanks: Thanks for the info guys! We have ADRs here but I don't want to wait that long on a meal inside the parks. Once again thanks for the heads up!:thumbsup2

Such a shame about the service at Coral Reef. We ate there last month, both the service and the food were top notch.

That's too bad that you had such a long wait.

The same thing happened to us when we dined there--long wait, food was so-so, our waiter was rude, and left us for huge amounts of time. I think our dining time was about 2 hours or so. The family & I were not happy campers, but we were at WDW and still had a good time ;)

Thanks for the review :goodvibes

Sorry to hear that. We were there the week before Thanksgiving. It was great! Our dinner server was Jim. He was great! It was the best meal we had all week. :goodvibes

I am surprised that you had such a bad time. I have never had that kind of experience there. That is one of my favorite restaurants. It could of been the waiter. Although I can handle the long wait on stuff my fiance can't- he freaks out if they take forever. He would be saying "no tip for them". Sorry about your bad experience! I hope mine next year won't be like that!

I'd actually prefer not to be rushed through my meal. Most restaurants at Disney just want to "push people through" as quickly as possible. It is frustrating that your drinks were empty however. We were scheduled to have lunch there in January, but will no longer be able to do so since the airline (United) moved up our departure flight time by 3 hours. The 3 hours I'm going to miss at Disney due to airline incompetence is more frustrating to me than waiting a few extra minutes for service in a restaurant at Disney. ::MinnieMo

This makes me nervous. We have adr @coral reef with our ds2 in jan. Maybe we should change our mind A two yr old can only hang in there for so long.:confused3
