Looks like we're doing "Private Affair" at HH

I'm so excited right now! Ever since we came back from HHI last year, DH has wanted to do a Private Affair. We're going to HH in a couple weeks; meanwhile DH is on a business trip in Asia and missing his birthday, so I've been hoping this would be a belated birthday present. I communicated with Chef Gordon, and it looks like it's going to happen. I'm so excited-a year of planning! And to top it all off, the weather looks like it will be good, too.

I hope you have a great trip. Sounds like you will enjoy some family time together after the Asia trip. Surely your DH has some golf time planned too! I hope you enjoy the private affair! Be sure to come back and tell us what good things you ate. We are going to try HH "someday"! We just can't break away from the "world" yet.

On a side note, are you still contemplating moving to Alabama? I remember you mentioned it awhile back. Be sure to check out our area, we have some great golf areas around here. Baldwin county is just booming with construction right now. Some because of Hurricane Ivan, and some because of population growth.

We did this in 2002 and loved it. OUr weather was actually bad, but our group of 15 had a great time.

Congratulations. We were scheduled to do a PA during our last trip to HH, but it was cancelled due to repair work at the snack bar. We've done it before and it is excellent. Chef Gordon is a wonderful host.

Please do report back, there have been very few PA posts in recent months. We are scheduled for our Fourth Annual PA next month, and we can hardly wait. My kids are already talking about the caramel fondue.
