I don't typically follow the free dining deals, but don't they usually do a Disney Visa one and then release it to the public?

Yes, that's what the email says. General release is May 9th. But it's limited in that it's only for a few weeks in September (so far).

Is there any small print in there saying AoA LM rooms are exempt? From some other threads, it seems like they won't be included in the FD deal.

Yes there is:

Offer excludes campsites and 3-bedroom villas and is not valid at Disney's Art of Animation Resort - Little Mermaid Standard view Rooms.

Discounted room rates can still be cheaper but good for those who are wanting FD
