Looks like DCL is getting a new website...

AMEN to this-trying to take care of multiple rooms has been a pain for me! And I wish it would "save" your reservation number and you didn't have to enter it every time you log in! (or does it do that and I haven't figured it out yet?!)

If you've been on a Disney cruise and have your castaway club info linked to your account, go in via the castaway login and you don't have to do that.

Wow! They have a new mobile site (which I can see on my iPhone in Safari, but not chrome). It's fantastic! I can finally use my phone to look for cruises without having to load the desktop site and zoom like crazy. Welcome to 2010, DCL!

My computer is an early adopter of the new site, but my iPhone still gets the old site lol.

I am in Germany. I can't see it on Safari, but used Google Chrome and was able to pull it up.

Oh, I might have to get Chrome finally! Just too curious to wait for it to finally appear for me! :rolleyes1

I normally use Safari, I'm seeing the old site. On the same computer I launched Chrome and got the new site.

I was able to get to the new site last night at work, but now that I'm home, no dice :(. I've tried safari, firefox, and chrome. But on the positive side, I was speaking to DCL this morning and the CM confirmed they are rolling out the new site and it's not another 'test'.

Browsers shouldnt have anything to do with which site you get. They may not work on specific sites, and they could redirect you. But, they cant determine which site you go to.

It is much more like the Disney World website for me. I was also on earlier, and its different now from how it was then.

I haven't read every post on the thread, but I wanted to chime in in case no one has yet. I'm guessing that they are using a system that shows the "old" site for some users and the "new" site to others to see how consumers respond. I don't program the web side of things, but my company does something similar and they'll do a test for a period of time, then decide on the "winner" version.

I could be wrong, but I wanted to give the possibility to help clarify.

Edited to reply to steves100 above as well - the reason the browser might matter is because a new browser would have a clean slate to pick the version that gets used.

I kept clearing cookies and cache then restarted the browsers on Safari & Chrome at the same time. It popped up on Safari hours before Chrome. No clue why that is....

Thanks, but unfortunately I am among the peons who have never gone on a Disney cruise before! But I will remember this when, hopefully, there is a next time!

I'm using Firefox and can pull up the website, but I cannot log into to see my reservation.

This isn't true. You can actually code a site so that when a specific browser visits the site, it serves a specific version. That's why when you're on a mobile phone you get a different version of a site. It's called "browser sniffing" in the web development industry.

That said, it doesn't really make sense why Disney is browser sniffing their new site. It's possible there are some bugs in Safari that the are working on? Why they would go live with it if that's the case is a little odd.

Yeah it looks very much like the newer WDW and DVC site. I can only see it on MS Edge. Chrome is showing the old site on the same PC (windows 10). Of course I cannot get into the site as I wanted to check-in...sigh I hate Disney IT.

Trying to get onto the site to book an activity on my cruise, but when I go to the planning center it says connection lost. I tried both safari and chrome on my iPad.

Welcome to Disney IT, LOL.

Noticing you joined the dis in 2014...they've been changing the websites over, slowly, since late 2011. It's been a long LONG exhausting process. And ridiculous.

Um - a little concerned. When I log in to view my upcoming cruise in the new system ---- it's not there. It just says, "please wait," and nothing happens.
