Looks like DCL is getting a new website...

I would like not having to put my email address, password, reservation number and birth date every single time I want to log in.
Are you a Castaway Club member? If so, just click on the Castaway Club logo (not sure where it is on the new site, but on the old its at the top sort of left/middle area. There you only have to enter your email and password.

The reason it's that way (requiring all the info every time) is to be sure you are you.

The giant pictures on the main page are making very excited for my upcoming cruise. It's beautiful at least. We'll see how it is for usability.

Only the new sight worked for me in Internet Explorer. Try that one. My hubby and I do not like the new one. It is a pain.

I still have the old site too I know that there are numerous global servers around the world and when a website is updated it may propagate to some servers before others and for that reason some people will see the old site and others the new but within 24 hours usually everyone should be able to see the new site. If it's been more than 24 hours and you still get the old site you may need to clear your cache and cookies.

I would like not having to put my email address, password, reservation number and birth date every single time I want to log in.

Is it still requiring that? I don't have a reservation so I didn't have any of that to put in. I just used the same old info that I have for all Disney sites (including dvc) and it greeted me. Didn't go much further than what I posted.

All my Disney website log ins were deactivated today (WDW, DL, DCL, Movie Club....EVERYTHING!!!). Yes, I was in a panic LOL! They restored everything and all my reservations everywhere are okay. I wonder if they are having migration issues.

I just tried and it worked for me without doing anything. it will take some getting used to though!

I still get the old one. We are in Canada...same thing happened when they were rolling out My Disney Experience website, in Canada we weren't able to see the new design for a couple months after.

I'm in Canada and I got the new site.

I would like not having to put my email address, password, reservation number and birth date every single time I want to log in.

I haven't had to do this for years. Once I've logged in, I just go to Castaway Club and it shows any existing reservations and old cruise information. It's in a slightly different place than before in the new site, but that's still there.

The new site now seems to connect to MDE - my avatar and connection to DH was carried over from MDE to my DCL site. I presume that they're now trying to put everything under one umbrella.

After I started reading this thread I went to the site. For a moment, it seemed as though the old site was going to load and then suddenly I saw a different and new site.

I still have the old site.
the one thing I love about the rcl site is you can search by ship. that has been wonderful and I wish dcl had that feature.

please oh please tell me that Disney has finally learned how to make a website!!!!

you think they would have figured it out by now...and really wish they would spend the money and do a complete overhaul of their website, reservations system, etc

I think all the dinosaurs who worked and controlled their IT department are gone.
They were too old and always said the internet will never take off...hence why their systems are so poor
too many separate modular components that were never designed to "talk" to one another

ps
how about updating your systems to take international address and phone numbers...and stop telling me they are invalid.
you have allot of guest that are from overseas...and I should not have to make up a random us number or address for my details

end of rant

If you're still seeing the old site, clear your cache and cookies. It's cliche but it worked like a charm.

Now I see it and you can pick options without having to select a month! Thank you DCL!

I just did it without picking a destination, so it makes sense they are doing it that way, too. Thank goodness! I like to see options!

I don't know why DCL does this, it seems like they haven't thought through the normal flow of visitors. They must not think their passwords are secure?

Mystifying to me, too. They hold all of our reservations on their disney.go sites...not sure why they protect the cruise stuff, or hide it deeper in their systems, vs a WDW stay which could easily be just as much as a cruise.

WHOA! As I'm in the "looking at cruises process", I now see "travel party", Dates, Destinations, Departs, and Ships. Ships!

I just did Travel Party and Ships. :)

All my Disney website log ins were deactivated today (WDW, DL, DCL, Movie Club....EVERYTHING!!!). Yes, I was in a panic LOL! They restored everything and all my reservations everywhere are okay. I wonder if they are having migration issues.

Scary!

really wish they would spend the money and do a complete overhaul of their website, reservations system, etc

I think that's what they've been doing for these last, hmm, 3.5 years...
