Looks like character queuing is here

Hopefully it looks like DLP is following the other parks by putting order into character queuing. Have a look here for details. :goodvibes

At last! This is great news Reid. Thanks for posting :goodvibes

great news, it was a free for all when we went in oct 2002, the scrum for characters :earseek: was the only thing i wasn't looking forward to this time, hopefully it will be more like WDW, always found that very organised, a nice orderly queue! :dog2: :teeth:

That would be a huge improvement and really make the character meet-'n'-greet experience a happy one with great photos. But there were lots of times in the past when a load of characters appeared in central plaza or at the back of the castle - can't see how they'd make it apply to those - but we can live in hope!!!! Only 29 days before we find out for ourselves!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but that report seems to indicate that the queuing is only for the characters that you already have to queue for anyway, they just have a little hand sign to correspond with the silimilar sign on the maps now - characters like Mickey, The Incredibles, The Princesses, Goofy/Pluto in the locations described are the few characters you've always had to queue for - the rest, i.e. the majority, still seem to be 'free for all'.

That was what I was afraid of too Steve - especially as it says that queuing from the place where the sign is will be no longer than 60 minutes. I fear it only refers to the major meet 'n' greets. :guilty: But we can live in hope!!

Fancing raising our hopes like that Reid ;)

I think we all need a bonus point for the quiz to cheer us up :teeth:

It would be even better if that only applied to those who've posted on this thread!!!! ;)

I absolutely agree!!!

Unfortunately I too understood this to mean that there would only be civilised queues for the scheduled meet & greets, which have always been well handled anyway - it's when the characters all burst out of nowhere that it's difficult!

'fraid that I read it as a more organised system throughout the park.
Will have to just dream on :)

Pardon me, but I thought raising hopes was in the job description of quiz master :teeth:

What job description was that, then ;) :rotfl:

Hmm yeah, looks to me like it's just stating what DLRP has already, the designated areas around both Disneyland Park and the Studios to queue for autographs & pictures with Minnie, Mickey, Goofy & Pluto, the Incredibles etc.
Doesn't seem to address the fact of the, like everyone said, 'the free for all' when the Princesses come out to sign autographs and pose for pictures {I went in the summer and it was crazy!}.
I hope something gets done about it because not only may it put someone in danger someday (some of those mothers are crazily hell bent on their children being first in line!!), but it's annoying too!
