Looking to rent points for Oct 8th trip to BCV. Is it too late? Will there be availability? Transaction completed. :cool1:

I won a 4 night trip from alamo for 4 people, I have 2 additional people traveling with us. We'll probably split into 3 in each room. Once I get my other room confirmation, I'll want on 10/8/05 a studio for 4 nights and on 10/12/05 a 2-bedroom for 3 nights (all non-smoking). By my calc that would be around 184 points. Do you have enough points available?

I'd be happy to reserve now if I would have the ability for a small fee to change dates if Alamo came back stating they could not accomodate our dates. It's off season, so I would think it's should be fine.

It is not too late. If you are interested the cost is $10.00 per point and it looks like you will need 143 points. I will confirm this if you are interested.

It looks like a studio woul require only 71 points and I don't know about the queen beds. I would have to check.

I'm curious as to why are the points higher than on the 2005 Point Chart, are there extra costs involved? The BCV 2005 Point Chart on this web-site lists the studio for 59 points and 1 bedroom for 119 points is this correct for October?

I don't know. We are talking about 5 nights during the choice season at BCV and one of those nights being the Fri-Sat rate of 23 points and the other 4 being 12 per night?

Sorry my mistake, we like to check in 10/8 and check out 10/12 so only 4 nights. I'll need to confirm my other room I've won in a contest and I'll let you know once I have confirmed dates.

What's the cancellation/change policy? Are my dates far enough out so that I could reserve them now and move to a different date if alamo makes us go at a different time?

I'm new to this, see first post. Is this possible?

It's not off season for DVC, it's high season because of the Food & Wine Fest going on at that time. All the Epcot area resorts book up very fast. Even Swan/Dolphin in that general area offers no discounts during that time because they fill up so completely at rack rate. IF there is availability (and that's a big IF) I would not hesitate long to book it as it won't be there long. As for changing once booked, that could also be VERY difficult at that time, though you might be able to cancel and book at another DVC not in the Epcot area. Or if Alamo changes you to a non busy time (like January) it probably would be moveable.
