Looking forward to a crowd-free Disney Trip! **Update 9/4**

I finally figured out how to post pics from my Facebook! Open up the picture, then right click (if you have a Mac, like I do, hit "ctrl" and click.) Go to "reload page" and wait for the new page to load. Right click again on the picture and go to "copy image address." Click the "insert image" link (third from right, it looks like a picture of mountains -- if you hover over for a second it says "insert image") and paste the address into the box that pops up. Click "ok" and it's posted! I hope this helps, PM me if you want if you can't figure it out!

still can't figure out how to load the FB pics...tried..but it wont work

Hope!! You look fantastic! I don't see a belly AT ALL! I can't believe you'll be able to find out the sex of the baby before your trip already!! I can't wait! Haha!

Hope you look great, you have that lovely pregnancy glow :)

Thank you!!! That means alot to me!!!

I have a sonogram scheduled for next week so I will definitely keep everyone updated!!! I'm hoping to find out the gender of the baby because I'll be 18 weeks & found out with Luke at 16 1/2 weeks! :thumbsup2

I'm just relieved to be able to see the baby before our trip -- I'm nervous flying pregnant, but it will make me feel better knowing I had a dr appt before the trip & that everything is going well!!!

I wish I knew & could help you. Meghan is visiting family out-of-state right now, but I'm sure once she returns, she will see this post & help you out!!! :thumbsup2

I use Shutterfly for posting my DIS pics.

It will be so much fun doing some Disney shopping for a special little boy or girl. :lovestruc A visit to the doctor will be reassuring, and then you can relax and go have a great time! :dance3:

Good Tom Sawyer Island pictures. We haven't spent a lot of time there, but the caves are definitely out for me. I think Aunt Polly's just kept downsizing until it ended up just being a couple of drink machines.

Will be back later to post another update! But I just wanted to share this really quick. This morning I got an email from Amazon (I'm a frequent customer! LOL!) and I wanted to share this with you. It's a new series called It's a Small World. Its really cute for kids & they have a sticker/activity book that's being released in Demember of this year. You can pre-order it for $6.99 on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/Small-World-Sticker-Activity-Book/dp/1423157486/ref=pd_sim_b_2#_

They also have other books! I thought the IASW one was cute (this one is different from the link I shared above) and it comes with a CD! I thought about ordering it but I already have the IASW music so I guess I don't really "need" it, right? :lmao:

Happy Monday, be back later!!!

Not sure if anyone replied - I skimmed the chatter in attempts to catch up, but I have never seen Aunt Polly's open, I don't think they ever open it anymore! Which is a shame, because it would be a fun spot to enjoy a drink or an ice cream!

You so don't even look pregnant yet....I'm waiting for that bump!

/
Hope, you definitely don't look pregnant, which will be nice, you won't have to worry about carrying around a ton of extra weight in the heat and humidity of WDW!!

I have never seen Aunt Polly's open. I was hoping to go there during our August '09 trip, since that's the only time we've been to the island since I was little, but nope, boarded up tight. I knew it was seasonal, but if it's not open in the middle of the summer, I would imagine it's not open at all.

Exactly!!! :thumbsup2

I think I will be able to relax A LOT more knowing that I've had both a sonogram & an ob appointment before the trip!!! And I already have a shopping list for the little boy or girl!!! My mom claims she isn't buying anyone souvenirs on their October trip since we will have just gone in Sept and my nephew is going again for Christmas. But I have a feeling once she sees the baby merchandise, she will go crazy!

You know, I am extremely claustrophobic!!! I seriously freak out -- really really bad -- in elevators & anywhere I feel I can't get out quickly (you should see me on an airplane!) But for some reason, the caves didn't bother me. I think it was because most of the time, I could see light at the end of the tunnel! But I completely understand why you would avoid it! I'm actually surprised I went in them!

Thanks for the info on Aunt Polly's! I had a feeling it wasn't open anymore. I'm glad the vending machines still work because Luke desperately needed a drink & of course we accidentally left his in the stroller. I'll remember for next time, though! I'm not paying $2 for a bottle of pop when we could just use a snack credit to get him a drink :rolleyes1

You are right, Brook! Aunt Polly's would be a great place to have a drink or ice cream! We sat under the gazebo for awhile & it was very relaxing. My husband & I looked around MK at the different rides (Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Frontierland, etc) while Luke watched the Ferry Boat! Between the humidity & the crowds, that gazebo would've been the perfect spot to enjoy a treat!

I think during the 1st trimester when I'm constantly sick, I must feel bigger than I am! Everyone keeps saying I don't look pregnant yet but I feel huge!

Oh! And you'll definitely see the bump once I get back from Disney!!! After looking at so many pictures of Disney food, I actually made a list of all the treats I want to try!!! We'll have extra credits this trip, in a way, since we're so used to just sharing our credits with Luke! Last year, we only ran out on the last day -- so I'm thinking we'll have quite a few extras to use this time around!

What do you recommend on the Boardwalk as far as snacks or breakfast items? Luke loves hot dogs & I know there's a cart there -- do they accept the snack credits from the dining plan? I'm more of a sweets person, so I'm sure I'll find lots to eat at the Boardwalk Bakery!!! I'm going to be so spoiled having a bakery at both Beach Club & Boardwalk!!! :cloud9:

Thanks Stephanie!!! I definitely agree with you! I'm sort of glad I ended up not being as far along as I originally thought! I get huge around 5-6 months & that would be horrible in the FL weather! I added some pregnancy pics on facebook when I was pregnant with Luke -- check them out & you'll see what I mean!

That's what I thought about Aunt Polly's since we were there in mid June! I thought to myself, if it wasn't open mid-summer when the crowds were HUGE, it must not be open at all. I was sort of hoping it was just under refurb -- but 9 times out of 10, when something is under refurb at Disney, they have it clearly marked (or you see people working) and we didn't see either. It is a shame because it would be a super nice place to grab a snack, as Brook said! Luke loved watching the Riverboat & we would've sat there longer had we had an ice cream! :lmao:

This is going to be a completely random list of questions! Answer whatever you can, make suggestions, any advice is appreciated!!! :thumbsup2

I've been busy with other things & haven't given my PTR or Disney planning as much focus as I'd like. We have a few busy weekends with birthday parties, Labor Day picnics, and the County Fair in Ohio.

This, unfortunately means that I'll have less time for Disney research. So I'm going to slack a little bit & just skip the research & ask all of my wonderful friends instead!

I *thought* that I was completely prepared for our trip! But everytime I start looking over maps or the resort info online, I realize I have more questions!

So here we go!

1) You know the high-backed chairs in the lobby at the Beach Club? I believe they are pink/salmon color & have a round top. Do they still have those there? I know they were there last June but I heard rumor on here that they were gone :confused3

AEP girls or anyone who's stayed or eaten at BC recently, please let me know! As silly as this sounds, this is one of my most important questions! I really want a picture in those chairs! Not sure why, but I just get obsessed with having a certain picture & this trip, that's the one I want!!! :lmao:

2) Suggestions -- We will arrive on property (assuming our flight is on-time) around 11am-noon. We should make it to MCO by 10 or 10:30 and hopefully it doesn't take more than an hour for ME to get us to the Beach Club!

We have an ADR at the Yacht Club at 5pm & then are considering heading to MK for EMH (they are open until 1am!)

Suggestions for what to do between noon-5pm assuming our room is not ready. I have some ideas but wanted to see what you thought was the best option!

3) This question is for Nikki and anyone else who's done the Behind the Seeds Tour. Because I'm crazy OCD, I want to verify what the CM told me on the phone! When I booked BTS, he told me where to go. Is this correct?

He told me if I'm standing on the bottom floor of the Land Pavilion, I should be facing Soarin (on my left side). He said there is a hallway that says "Cast Access Only" and there are bathrooms right there. The hallway is to the left of Soarin. He said I will see a podium & this is where we check-in.

I drew myself a diagram as he was telling me! :lmao:

He also said we each need to have I.D. on us, I should arrive 15 minutes early, and obviously I will take a copy of my confirmation number (just in case!)

4) This isn't for me -- this question is for my mom! They are staying at Pop in October. As of now, I didn't put a room request on their reservation. Originally they wanted the 50's but then decided to just take whatever they got upon arrival. Well, she's been doing research because I emailed her a bunch of Pop Unofficial websites, Disney sites, etc. She read that a good view is the 50's building, 4th floor, Lake View. I know this is far away from the main building but I already told them & they don't mind. They'll have a rental car so they can drive if they don't feel like walking.

Anyone have suggestions on this location? MeMom? Jen? Mindy?

Oh and Mindy, I remember you said you've been a member of the Pop boards for years -- could you send me the link or post it here? Maybe it will help if I read it!

5) Where do you go to get your MNSSHP wristband? I'm assuming you walk in through the gate like normal, go through the turnstiles with your KTTW card, and then head over to Guest Services? Actually, we would enter with our MNSSHP tickets, not our KTTW cards.

6) I received my "Mickey Mail" and inside, I got the usual PhotoPass card. It says to add it to my account before my trip & then I'll get special offers when I return. I usually do this but I don't think I can this time.

My mom and I are doing a PhotoPass share. I have the dates marked out exactly so I have enough time to edit my pics before her trip begins, work on her pics while she's gone (my dad text me their PhotoPass card numbers every time they get a new card while they're on their trip) and still claim my photos before the 30 days is up.

I know I have 30 days to add the pics and then another 30 days from that date to edit them & order my CD.

So, basically I cannot use the PhotoPass card they sent? Correct?

7) Mousekeeping & ADR tip envelopes

I never even thought of this but I've read here on DIS that alot of people do NOT use tip envelopes. They think the money is just wasted because the server clears the table & throws the envelope away.

I know our Mousekeeper received the envelopes & the money out of them. Once I forgot something at the room & went back to get it. When coming around the corner of the building, I saw her open the envelope, smile, and put the money & envelope into her pocket. So, she obviously enjoyed the extra little touch! So I'm still going to do it for Mousekeeping.

However, I'm thinking about NOT doing it for the ADR's. I think I'll still print out the envelopes but make them more like a tent sitting on TOP of the tip. That way, the server will still get something a little special, but at the same time, will definitely see the tip! What do you think?

I just realized I have a Mac so that might be why, I was giving instructions based on what I have to do. Sorry!

Hope, you so do not look pregnant and like I said on Facebook, I am ridiculously excited to hear if you are having a boy or a girl. I need to know what to buy off your registry!

Of the places on your ADR list, the only place I've eaten at recently, or at all, is Chefs de France. I can't remember if I got an appetizer there, but my mom and I both had the mac and cheese, and we shared the creme brulee. We both LOVED the mac and cheese. I remember it being very cheesy and kinda rich, so I'm not sure if between the pregnancy and the heat, it would end up bothering you. The creme brulee was also really good, although I had never had creme brulee before so when the spoon went through the thin top layer I was a little surprised.

I can't believe you are down to 20 days! I go back to school the sixth () and I am already freaking out so I am really excited to have your trip to live vicariously through!

If it was me, I would explore the resort, get settled in, and get a nap in so that I'd be able to stay later at MK. Assuming you have enough park tickets to cover your days, you could wander over to WS to get some chocolate mousse... :lovestruc

There will be many places inside MK to get your wristbands. At a certain point they start giving them out at the turnstiles so since you are thinking of doing a dinner at 5 maybe by the time you get there they will be at turnstiles

6) I received my "Mickey Mail" and inside, I got the usual PhotoPass card. It says to add it to my account before my trip & then I'll get special offers when I return. I usually do this but I don't think I can this time.

I don't see why not. The card is just a normal photopass card, I think it will work like any other that you would get at the park. And since you can add multiple cards to the account, I can't see why it wouldn't work.

I have heard that about tips at meals as well, so I wouldn't risk it. I think the tent idea is good though!

I GOT IT!!! :dance3::dance3::dance3: There's another step involved now. Ok... When you click on an album.... stay in the thumbnails view of the whole album. Right click... select "open link in new tab". THEN the picture will open in a new tab...and look like it used to look when you had a single picture open. THEN... right click on the photo.. and select view image info.. on the bottom of the list. When the window pops up.. copy and paste the address after the word location: It will be in the middle of the right the box. use the insert pic icon as you normally would so that the link appears with
as bookends. That'll do it. whew!!! ITs an extra step but at least it works, and comparing it to uploading to two locations... its less work.

not sure what I am doing wrong...but I still cant get this to work....

Hope, you look so good. You can't even tell you are pregnant other than your glow!

I don't do tip envelopes for the wait staff at restaurants, however, I do put them in their own envelope so I have the money allocated and not spent on souvies! I just pull out that days envelope each morning and give the cash to DH.

Le Chefs- I love the french onion soup and the ham and cheese sandwich. I know there is a fancier name for it. Sure hope you get to see Remy!

San Angel Inn-Love the guacomole appetizer!

:dance3::yay:You are getting so close!

The back/lake side of the Play Doh building or the Tramp building would be good. It's quiet back there - not a lot of traffic at all.

i think i butchered that first quote lol

when we went we entered at 4ish with our tickets. I think that they gave us the wristbands at the turnstyles. there were also castmembers going around near 7 to check for wristbands. i believe that they had some on them for those who had been in the park all day with regular passes and needed them.

I am soooo sorry for posting without replying to all of your responses!!! I apologize in advance for that! I WILL get around to replying, maybe tomorrow when I'm not quite as tired :thumbsup2

Thank you all for the nice compliments! I really thought I was getting over the morning/all day sickness & was starting to get an appetite. BUT that didn't last very long at all. I've been feeling really sick almost every evening & taking lots of Tums. If I don't eat as soon as I wake up in the morning, I also get really really sick. My DH leaves for work pretty early -- if I eat at that time, my stomach gets soooo sick! I have to wait about 2-3 hours after he leaves & then eat something small. I'm down to eating very small meals instead of larger ones (which makes me terrified of the dining plan in 12 days!!!) When I'm not feeling sick & am eating, I eat pretty much everything -- so that will work to my advantage at Disney!!!

I need to figure out how to take the following items with me as I eat them almost every day:
* Cans of pineapple slices or chunks
* Cherry Poptarts (I know, not the healthiest thing in the world!)
* Fruit snacks (they make my tummy feel better! and they're for Luke too!)
* Fresh peaches

I'm pretty sure I can just throw the fruit snacks & poptarts in my checked bag. The poptarts might smash but at least I'll have them...although I don't have a toaster...hmm. I have no idea if I'm allowed to put canned pineapple in my checked bag...anyone know? If I had to choose one food to take with me, that would definitely be it! I NEED my pineapple!!! ;)

Anyone know if they have anything similar to pineapple upside down cake or pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting at Disney??? I think I'm more hungry for those than my chocolate croissant!! And you know how many of you I asked to mail me home one of those chocolate croissants!!! :lmao:

Well, back to my updates --
I wanted to start 10 days prior to our trip & each day post what we'll be doing on Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, etc. But the next 12 days are just too busy & I know I won't get around to posting every day. So in a couple of days, I'll just post an update with all of our plans. I did switch some things around & some park days are different.

We still aren't sure what we'll do on arrival day. Our flight times keep getting changed which is driving me crazy. I keep writing the time down & then it changes again. Luckily its only within a 10-20 minute range but if it keeps changing 20 minutes each time, it could end up an hour behind! Right now, we should arrive at the Beach Club sometime by noon. I'm hoping our room will be ready. If not, we'll leave our carry-on bags with Bell Services & walk over to the Boardwalk for a snack. We'll probably just relax, explore the Boardwalk & Beach Club areas, and go back to the room when its ready. We have a 5:30 ADR at Captain's Grill at our sister resort, Yacht Club. I'm really looking forward to this meal! Especially since I agreed not to eat at Coral Reef this year (my favorite seafood restaurant!)

If we have time after we arrive & feel like taking a longer walk, we'll head up to the Hess Station to get some essentials -- like bottled water, some snack items, maybe some granola bars, things like that. I'm thinking about possibly just taking snacks along with us & then buying water out of the gift shop at BC.

Another option for arrival day is to head up to Fantasia Gardens. I'm thinking this probably won't happen though. We have a few mornings free (like the day we go to MNSSHP in the evening or the day we go to DTD) so we'll probably just wait for this. Normally we head to our resort upon arrival & crash for the night! So that's always a possibility as well! I'm sure my DH and DS will take a nap in between arrival & dinner if our room is ready. Which will give me a perfect opportunity to walk around the resort & take pictures!!!

I'll have to look over my schedule again but I think it goes something like this: Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney, free day/MNSSHP at night, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, departure day (probably Epcot or DHS since its quick & easy to walk back over to BC to catch ME!)

We'll have almost an entire last day since ME won't pick us up until around 5:30-6pm. We'll most likely check out between 10am-11am and then head to the park after leaving our bags with Bell Services. We may also head over to the Boardwalk in the morning to grab breakfast & then walk over to a park. I wish we could walk to MK because thats really the park I'd like to end our trip with. All plans are subject to change!

Since we have park hoppers, we really don't have to stay in the park we're eating at that day! If we switch days again, it will probably be Epcot/DHS, or Epcot/MK since those are easy to switch between. For instance, the one DHS day, we're eating dinner at Epcot. So we'll leave DHS mid afternoon to catch the boat for Epcot.

More details & an update including pictures coming soon!!! :thumbsup2
