Hey all! DH and DS16 are looking to book a tee time for our upcoming November trip. I looked on several boards but didn't see any golf related threads - please move this if I missed it.

Any-who; I'm looking for some info and insight on the Disney Golf courses. Both DS & DH are decent golfers - they are no Jack Nicklaus, but they do OK. (DH played at Osprey Ridge in the past, so that's what he's basing is Disney golf experience on). They'd like to play 18 holes.. I watched a short YouTube videos about the Disney courses. All 3 minutes of the video -- and noticed the small kid friendly course but can't think of the name at the moment -- and while all our boys would enjoy walking/playing those 9 family friendly holes - DH is looking for more than that. Any insight on the Disney golf courses?

I've played all 4 courses. We are headed out there tomorrow for 2 weeks and I'm planning to play there again.

The Magnolia, Palm, and Oak Trail courses are all next to each other near MK while LBV is located near SSR. They're all fun to play and are challenging - Magnolia and LBV have lots of water. Magnolia, Palm, and LBV are the 18 hole courses while Oak Trail is a 9 hole "family" course without water hazards. In general, expect pace of play to be SLOW. It's not unusual for an 18 hole round to go 4.5-5 hours.

If you are staying onsite and don't have a car, Disney provides free taxi transportation to and from the course from your resort.

Check out wdwgolf.com for unofficial information about golf at WDW. The "official" WDW golf site is golfwdw.com.

I am wondering the same thing for my trip in December. Do you know how they handle the club rentals? We are staying on property.

After much research, I plan on having my DH play at Bay Hill (not as WDWcourse, but close by), Tranquilo of Four Seasons (this used to be WDW Osprey Ridge), and Magnolia. That's three courses over our 6 day trip, which he needs amid all the Disney stuff. Since he's playing three times, he plans to bring his own clubs as he always feels the rentals take a few holes to get used to, and then his score gets affected. There are club rentals available.

Found this on the wdwgolf website (unofficial)
TaylorMade Rental Golf Clubs
Regular $50
Twilight $30
Disney Resort Guests $20
Disney Vacation Club $20
Military $20

Interpol has posted great info. Don't forget to bring your own balls and a glove even if your rent clubs. You don't want to have to pay for those too.

Thank you all for the helpful info!!! Now DH is deciding if he would rather golf with the boys or all of us go to MVMCP!!? Decisions, Decisions...
