We will be visiting Universal Hollywood on Thursday, June 28. There are four of us, 2 adults and 2 kids. The kids meet the height requirement for all of the rides and are not afraid of any rides. Does anyone have any touring plans, tips, or suggestions for a one day visit?

go for the Studio tour first thing, before the queues get too long, the king kong 4d is amazing!

the lower lot is quite a walk away, don't everything you want in that area...you don't want to be walking between the lots.

On a busy day the lines get long in this order, Tram Tour, Simpsons, Mummy, Jurassic Park.

I don't know about the new Terminator ride but supposed to be quite good. The other shows get large crowds but don't be scared off by them. The seating areas for the shows are large and almost always the entire crowd waiting outside will get a seat.

They have an all you can eat meal plan that can be a good value if you're staying a long day. You can go through the restaurants line as many times as you want even just for a snack.

Theres also refillable mugs that can be a good deal on a hot sunny day.

Is there anywhere on the website that talks about the meal plan? Do you know how much it costs? Where do you purchase it?

Eat a good breakfast, pack snacks, and take studio tour first, bring backpack, and....have a great day!

Good to know. Its been a few years (like late 90's) since I have been there and it seems like a lot has changed!

As of the end of May, the traditional recommendation to do the Studio Tram Tour as the first attraction no longer applies. The new Transformers The Ride-3D opened officially during Memorial Day weekend and (not surprisingly) now has the longest wait times--supplanting the Studio Tour. If Transformers is something you want to ride together, then head for the lower lot AS SOON AS YOU ARRIVE and get in line. There is a single rider line for Transformers, so that is an option, but you'll probably want to ride it as a family together at least once. Note: during my last visit, the single rider line was closed off and on for short periods of time, because it was backing up into the main entrance. The queue area for the single rider line is very short.

After Transformers, the next attraction to build a long wait time will be the Studio Tram Tour. You'll have to make a decision though: do you backtrack to the Upper Lot, where the tram tour starts? Or do you stay on the Lower Lot and finish the 2 other big rides there--i.e. Jurassic Park and The Mummy. There's no "right" answer and it all may depend on the crowds. My recommendation would be to return to the Upper Lot and get in line for the Studio Tram Tour. But, if the wait times for Jurassic Park or The Mummy are short, it may be okay to stay on the lower lot to do one or the other (or even both).

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! I've already visited Universal a half-dozen times since the beginning of the year. And good luck with the rest of your trip planning!! :goodvibes
