Looking for the name of the discounter that sells Disney pins for trading.
Not sure if I saw it listed here or on the family board.
TIA
Carolyn

Mousepinsonline is the site that we have ordered from with very good luck as have several people on this board. Hope this helps!

I have bought things from harval1 (ebay). You can also email him at harval@webtv.net. The more you buy the more of a discount he gives you.

Ditto on harval. (e-mail rather than ebay, for better pins, IMO.) I have always liked the pins purchased from him. Many have been keepers, rather than traders, in the end. They have all been the real pins rather than the sedesma or german pins.

FWIW, I have noticed an abundance of "advertisemensts" for mousepinsonline. Including one unsolicited when I was purchasing pins on ebay, which I reported to the ebay authorities.

We've also gotten pins from mousepinsonline. We were satisfied with the pins and their service was great. I would recommend them.

Do you mean somebody contacted you through eBay to suggest that you order from mousepinsonline? Do you think it was somebody associated with that company? I read about them on these boards, and I purchased pins from them. The pins I bought were $1.75 each, and I bought them for my granddaughter and me to trade when we go to Disney World. I haven't found any that were any cheaper anyplace else. I was very happy with the pins and with their service, and I have expressed my satisfaction in several posts here. However, I don't consider that as an "advertisement". I think I even posted a couple of times that I am in no way associated with the company - just a satisfied customer, sharing my experience with others on these boards. I did that more as a tongue-in-cheek thing, but I didn't think I was doing anything wrong. I've seen plenty of personal recommendations on these boards for one company or another - and for several touring guide services.

I am confused as to why meandtheguys2 considers it "advertising" when someone on this board recommends mousepinsonline, or any other site for that matter, and it is not "advertising" when she recommends whoever she has purchased pins from in the past.

Honestly, the post by meandtheguys2 is an example of why I rarely post to these boards and only read them. In my post, I was simply answering a question from someone asking for information about discounted trading pins. I agree with JoannaOhio in that I see nothing wrong with passing along good information to others here to try to help them. This is the Budget Board, and, let's face it, we wouldn't be looking in this forum if money was not a concern to us.

By the way, Sedesma pins from Spain, Propin pins from Germany, and Bertoni pins from Italy are all "real" Disney pins and are tradeable at WDW just the same as if you purchased a pin at one of the pin centers at WDW. They are all made by Disney licensees. Just check Pinpics if you want verification that they are real Disney pins.

I am glad you like your pins JoAnna. That is terrific. I just didn't appreciate being solicited to purchase on ebay and against their policies. I merely seconded buzz's statement about harval. I could care less whether anyone actually buys from him. It's not like it serves me any purpose other than to let other's know he didn't rip me off. (Unlike a couple of other ebay sellers.)

DisIncredible and Beam Me Up seem to have the singular purpose to promote these pins. All of each's posts are to promote this company. Advertising on the Dis is against policy.

I will gladly admit that I hope mousepins does well. The people who own the site seem to be good people, and my family and I have been happy with our purchases from them. As far as posting, I've been reading the disboards for years but I have only felt compelled to post when I have information that may help someone. If that's a singular purpose, so be it.

I am a little confused one part of your last post. Do you mean that mousepins has ripped someone off or that you have had that experience with some third seller on ebay? I haven't read any negative posts about mousepins. Actually, the posts I have read where people have bought from them, including myself, have been very positive. But if I have missed those posts, please direct me to them. I would certainly like to have that information as well as the good feedback about any seller.

Just another "Lurker" who only posts when I feel the need to help. I just ordered from mousepinsonline.com because I couldn't resist their June special, and they were reccomended by mousesavers. I was extremely happy with the price $1.75 per pin, the service, and the fast shipping. The pins arrived within 3 days of ordering them, and they are high quaility Disney pins. They are on the small side, which I feel is an advantage because of having to transport 100 trader pins to WDW (That's 20 pins for each of us to trade)
Just adding my 2 cents about a company I used, that gave me excellent service.
Have a Disney Day!

No, sorry, I have never recommended that pin site, or any other pin site other than Disney's eBay site. I'm not a pin collector and know nothing about any of the "unofficial" pin sites. You must have MouseSavers confused with something else.
