This is the closest to DWs birthday that we will be at WDW.

we have some dinners planned etc... Is there anything out of the ordinary that I could have sent to the room or something? I plan to ask the concierge as well. If I get a moment alone... hehehehehee

THanks,

Mikeeee

I would suggest to use www.memoriesbybetsy.com for a surprise birthday basket. She will help you put anything in it you would want. I have used her twice and have been totally happy with her both times.

I second the memories by betsy website. Also, call Disney Dining (if you have reservations for a special dinner) and look into getting the personalized cake to be delievered at that dinner. Like you said, speak with Disney and see what they can do for birthdays. Disney floral can make up a gorgeous arrangement and probably send it to your room. Good luck and have a magical trip!! :)

Thanks, I will look at the baskets.

My sister just returned home today from celebrating her 50th birthday at Disney. I purchased a share of Disney stock, had it matted, framed and had a special inscription put on it. I left it at the front desk of her resort and they put it in her room with a Happy Birthday Mickey balloon after she checked in. It made a great surprise gift.

This is sort of a splurge but I think a really cool idea.

I am getting married in Disney the day before my sister's 21st b-day and one of my bridesmaids birthday as well. Here's what we're planning to do.

Rent the Grand 1 Yacht during Wishes (it's PRICEY but we're having so many people go in on it it will end up cheap) if you have a ton of people willing to chip in it can be so fun. Get a cake from the GF and have a once in a life time night

You can also check out the Disney florist (www.disneyflorist.com). They offer some really neat packages for kids. We are going to order the ears, auto book, pen and goodie set for my cousins when we go next summer. They're just too cute!

Also, be sure to get the birthday pin at check in! :)

If you are staying on property, you can ask for a "birthday amenity" (make sure you say that). We just got back tonight from a stay at the GF. My son had a birthday during our stay. I planned special things and such and was happy with the plans. One day as the birthday was approaching, I saw a CM walking by with birthday balloons! Hey cool! So I asked her about them. She told me to contact the front desk and they would send them free of charge! Wow! She said to ask for a birthday amenity. So I did.

Do you know what they sent?! Holy cow! They sent a white chocolate Mickey mouse (Big) with a signed Donald Duck picture stating, "Happy Birthday!". It had an assortment of delicious cookies all around him. The Mickey was awesome. He was holding a birthday sign that said, "Happy Birthday". We came back from a great dinner and I had forgotten all about it. Opened the door and what a surprise! It was great! We called and thanked them for a terrific surprise.

HTH! :)

This is feralpeg here on the dis. She will come and decorate your room in your theme of choice while you are out for $100. Last month she did my room in a Cinderella theme-balloons and confettie everywhere. My kids were so excited that Tinkerbell had come to welcome them! I also picked out gift for each of them, and she brought them and arranged them in the room. For $150, you get a cake and more stuff, too!
