I'm going in Nov. with my DH and DS8. DS is very picky. We seem to always eat at the same place. I'm looking for something new and different. My DH and myself are going in Jan. ALONE!!!! :cool1: We will be trying new restaurants then - Teppan Edo, Cape May Cafe and Kona Cafe. But for Nov. there are a few we HAVE to eat at: Boma's for breakfast (on the day we leave) and dinner (day of arrival), Chef Mickey for breakfast (DS8's choice), 50's Prime Time (I have to have my pot roast). The other's that we could change are Whispering Caynon, Le Cellier, Hollywood and Vine and O'Hana. We were thinking of eating at Sci-Fi - I think DS would really enjoy it. DH needs a good steak - what about Turf Club and Grill - the steak with blue cheese sounds really yummy. Sorry this is so long, but dining is such an important part of the experience!! :rotfl:

Which trip are you looking for new things to try? Your November trip with your family and picky DS, or your January couples trip? :goodvibes

Hey Tiggerlover48... a fellow upstate New Yorker here. Try to ignore reviews of Sci Fi. Our kids always enjoyed going there. Certainly more fun if you get to eat in a car, though! Have you thought of California Grill four your January get-away? A great view of Wishes!

Sorry for the confusion! I'm looking for suggestions for the Nov. trip with picky DS. Just trying to make everyone happy.

The restaurants in Jan. are all going to be new ones we have never tried. Very excited about that!!

I have a picky eater too, so we make time for the Garden Grill at Epcot and the grill at Coronado (which is still a counter meal if you are on the dining plan). The Garden Grill is great, all you can eat, and has food for picky eaters and those that like something different.

We have been going to WDW for over 20 years and had never eaten at the Rose and Crown at Epcot, until last summer. Now that my son lives in the UK we always make that one of our meals. The bangor and mash is very good, as well as the potato soup and salads. (The apple crisp is original and excellent). If you get there around 8:00 PM for dinner, you can take your time dining and view the fireworks from their private viewing area; i.e., have your dinner, watch the fireworks, and go back and have dessert. It is very nice and there is no rush!
