Update! My dad is still in the hospital. They found some abnormalities with his heart and they are still running some tests on him. His EKG showed he has an arithmya(sp??) They got his blood sugar under control and that part of the situation is better. He might be discharged today depending on the results from the rest of the tests. WE have been getting things ready for him at home. Went in and cleaned his house so he won't have to worry about doing it. Between my sis and myself we will start going in every 2wks and do the floors and things. He was going to hire a housekeeper but this is better. This has been a real wake up call for him. He will be seeing his regular Dr. on Monday to evaluate all his meds and then he will start going to a Diabetic clinic. Even though he has had diabetes for over 10yrs, he could use lots more knowledge about it. I want to thank you all for your kind words. It has been a very scary and emotional draining time and we're glad things turned out ok. It is tough to deal with aging parents.

Praise God things are improving for him. Prayers and PD for continued improvement.
I live alone and my DD's have my alarm code, garage opener and keys. Please if you have a elder parent living alone, get them to provide whatever you need to get to them.

We think we are giving up some of our privacy, but it has to be done.
