Looking for some help for HALLOWEEN WEEKEND

Hi, we are majorally changing our plans - we were supposed to go to Vegas, but plans changed so we might head over to Orlando! Trying to decide whether to do DISNEY or UNIVERSAL for the weekend: Sat, Oct 30 - Tue Nov 2 - so it's a SHORT stay !

Can anyone recommend a good hotel to stay at on Universal property - how about a discount ? How about passes ? HELP HELP HELP ! Please post here or PM me on the boards !

Universal and stay at Hard Rock Hotel you can walk to the parks and the hotel is great. are you a member of AAA? check with them for discount tickets and hotel discounts. I have also gotten pretty good deals through hotelkingdom.com or hoteldiscounts.com you should try and go to halloween horror nights while you are there. it is really alot of fun but don't bring the little ones. it is very intense and SCAREY. Really? because I just looked at availability through hoteldiscounts.com, and they had rooms available for all Universals onsite resorts for the days in question.

also, hotelkingdom.com had availability too. btw, hoteldiscounts.com was cheaper
I have booked through both before and never had a problem with either service.

I really recommend the Portofino. We stayed there for the first time in June, and it instantly became my new favorite hotel. We'll be at the Portofino on 10/29 through 11/2. Hope to see you there!!

we are going to HHN on Oct. 29th and 30th. on the 28th we are going to the Velvet Party at the HRH. this is a rocking good time!! pm me if you want details ( maybe for next year?? ) if you are staying at the HRH you will see the set up in the lobby.

i had booked our room in January and then looked in Febuary to see if i had booked to early and i thought it had looked sold out . Oh well, atleast you guys can still stay at the great and wonderfull HARD ROCK HOTEL.

Hi Disnefreakk,
This will be the first HHN in years that DD and I won't be staying at HRH. I got such an excellent deal at Disneys Pop century I couldn't pass up the $49 per night. we are going back at Christmas this time with DH (he likes Orlando when the weather is cooler) and I'm trying to save a few dollars for the trip down then. I remember last year Dee Snyder and several others played at the velvet lounge. I wanted to go but we had tickets for MNSSHP that night and we had to walk through the lobby dressed in costumes. I was so embarrassed! oh well, have fun! oh, and btw, I hope the smoke alarms don't go off at 4am like they did with us!

Me and my husband enjoy the HRH during HHN's. Just because it's a short walk to the parks and city walk for us. Other trips and longer trips we enjoy PBH.
