Right now, I'm debating between getting a storage chest for the foot of my bed, using space bags and/or basic zippered vinyl bags.

Are there any better alternatives? We don't have a basement or much storage room in our house. Right now, we're piling all of the blankets in my DD's closet (the half she isn't using), but ideally I'd like to find a way to get them out of there. Or worst case scnerio, have them more neatly organized.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I really don't like the space bags. I've tried 'em and everything gets crushed and fully of wrinkles.

I've bought 3 blanket chests at auction and use those. (Around $50 a pop for antiques.) I keep thinking I'll buy some cardboard under the bed boxes for more blanket room, but haven't done it yet.

I use the jumbo storage zip-loc bags, just sit on them to get the extra air out.

I have a blanket chest but still like them in the plastic after I wash them.

A while back zip-loc offered a BOGO of the jumbo bags on the web site.:thumbsup2

I also keep extra pillows in these bags.

They will be flat enough to throw under the beds.

I love the new "square" space bags for blankets-they actually work pretty good. and for storing blankets and sheets in the closet I place them inside pillowcases so they look neater

How about folded and placed between the mattress and the box spring? Otherwise, just the large flat plastic storage containers that can be slid under the bed/

We have a much different way of storing them. I have old...I am mean really old (it was free) ladder in the corner of the room and I fold them and toss them over the rungs. The ladder is a stright up ladder and I think we might have cut it off. It is a natural warped wood color but it could be painted. The way the all hang is very colorful and lots of people comment on the quilt ladder.

That sounds really pretty.

I use space bags and slide them under the beds. I also have night stands in my rooms that are small chests that I use. I think they were originally supposed to be end tables or something, I don't know, but they looked good with my bed.

I do the same thing zip lock or glads. I had the space cubes and the cube did not hold alot per cost, and I had to sit on it to get the real air out and still was tall. I stood it in the closet as I could not fit it under the bed.

I roold the ziplock/Glad bag and put lots of them under the bed and any storage space.

I got Ziplocs this year. My Space Bags all popped open last year and some were torn so I tossed them.

In the past I have layed them flat and placed them on couch under the cushions. It gave the cushions a little lift.
