I am looking at 2 choices! Can't make up my mind. And i know that one will involve more Xmas activites but that doesn't really matter to us so it doesn't help me make up my mind any!

Choice one: Arrive on Friday before Vetren's Weekend Nov. 10th and stay through the following Sat. Nov. 18th. This would be an 8 night stay.

Choice two: Arrive on Thanksgiving DAY Nov. 23rd and stay through the following Saturday Dec. 2nd. This would be a 9 night stay.

No matter which I choose we will be spending the weekend we arrive at the Swan and not hitting the parks too hard over the busy weekend days. Then switching to the Pop Century for the week of hitting the parks harder!

I don't know which week would be busier in the parks the full week AFTER Thanksgving weekend is over or the week after Vet.'s day weekend is over? Any thoughts? Or advice? Thanks!! My DH is no help at all! I asked him and he said "either way we are going so why does it matter"?!! :smooth:

For the last 3 years we have arrived the Friday before Veteran's week and stayed for 10 days. We had a GREAT time. It is Jersey week, but it still won't be as crowded as Thanksgiving.

True but it might be less crowded once Tgiving weekend is over. The last week in Nov/first December is not crowded. We were there few weeks ago first week in December and it was not crowded at all. On the other hand if weather is an issue- the earlier you go the better chance of some warmer weather. Our December week was rainy and chilly alot of the days.

We arrived on Veterans Day last year and thought the weekend was very busy. We always do Fast Pass anyhow, but really had to plan things well to make the most effective use of them, especially since we brought my aunt & uncle with us--their first trip to WDW in 20 years--and wanted to maximize all that we saw each day. Crowds thinned out during the week considerably.

I've never been to WDW directly after Thanksgiving, but did go the first week of December (Pop Warner week) and thought the crowds were very managable.

We went the day after Thanksgiving last year and other than that weekend it was great. On that Sun. it was like you could see the people flowing out the gates. And the week after was great too. Plus, all the Christmas festivities are in full swing. This to me is the most magical time to be in WDW.

Thanks for all the replys!
I am not so concerned about the crowds over the holiday weekends I just want it to be as uncroweded as possible after that weekend is over.

I really wish I could make up my mind! I do think the weather might be warmer the earlier we go in Nov. but that latter trip allows me to add an extra night!

jimmytammy...we are going that same time this year. A lot of people have said that the weather is hit and miss, but I was wondering what was the weather like on y our trip?

Thanks

An extra night is good! Also- the parks were decorated for Xmas already by early December, so that was very nice. We stayed at WL which was beatiful all decked out. I think the December we were there literally set a record for so much rain so maybe its not always rainy.

we were there last year from Nov 10 - 18 and the weekend we got there was busy, food and wine festival and all at epcot but then it wasn't bad at all
We're going this year, same days!!

Last year we arrived the day after Thanksgiving and stayed for the next 9 nights.

Like JimmyTammy said the week following was great. My husband read in the Unofficial Guide that that week crowds are at the "lowest" level.
