I have come to the realization that even if I had all the pieces I needed, I would not be able to finish my ride the way I would want it to be in time for judging. I'm a perfectionist, what do you expect?
However this doesn't mean I won't be making a ride. I'm going to make one at a leisurely pace that I can handle. I want my ride to be absolutely prefect; just the way I want it, and if I do it in a rush I won't be able to achieve that.
I don't mind that I won't be receiving a prize from the competition, I just want the VMK public to enjoy my ride. However, nobody will enjoy my ride if I rush it, these kinds of things take time.
Good luck to all of you participating in the Space Mountain Ride Competition, I have seen some of the rides and they are amazing, prize-worthy creations! I'm sure you'll all do wonderfully!
But be warned, next ride track competition I'll be sure to particpate!
