Looking for Scrooge McDuck?

19 Days till my next WDW trip and can't wait! My boyfriend is not a Disney fanatic like I am but he does really like Scrooge McDuck. I don't every remember seeing Scrooge out and about in the parks except during Christmas parades. Has anyone seen Scrooge lately or do you know if there is a way to request an appearance by one of the less popular characters? Thanks!

I have never seen him in any of the parks. We go in Aug. most of the time. The best thing I think you can do is when you are at the park ask a cast member if he will be out. If yes they will tell you when and where. I have never heard of them taking requests. I wish they did, my daughter would love to meet some of the more minor charecters.

My Uncle is a huge McScrooge fan. I've heard that he is only out and about on Christmas. I also had trouble finding McScrooge souveniers while we were there.

Scrooge is so rare that he is probably only out for special events nowadays. I seen him at the Christmas parties, and in 2004 I saw him at the Halloween parties. I don't think I read of anyone seeing him any other times in the last couple years. Sadly, you probably won't find him on your trip.

I know you're talking about at the park, but as Disney Stores they have Scrooge McDucks on clearance for only $5! :-D My fiance is a huge Scrooge fan!

He is one of my ds' favorite characters and we kept our eyes peeled for him in August. The only duck we saw was Donald at MGM.

We did get the $5.00 plush at the Disney Store. The fact that Scrooge was on clearance isn't a good sign because he probably wouldn't be on clearance if he were making a comeback of any kind.

Seeing Huey, Duey, and Louie at the parks would be great, too!

Right after Christmas, my dh was eating breakfast at a little restuarant here in town with his buddies...a Sat morning ritual. Dh was telling the guys about his Donald Duck costume I bought him after Halloween last year. The guys told him they would donate $100 to the local Food Pantry if he showed up at breakfast in his Donald costume....so, of course he did! We have photos of him and the guy who 'imitates' Santa for the town, standing outside the restaurant, in their respective get-ups. The donation to the Food Panty was over $500 by the time all was said and done. So......one of the guys is a huge Disney nut (loves Pooh), so he went to the Disney Store and bought a Scrooge McDuck for dh. Except he kept saying it was Donald, but wearing a top hat!!! He said it looked like Mr Mayor (this is what they call my dh since he is on the town's board of selectmen, which governs the town). Nothing we can say will convince him it's Scrooge McDuck!!! Now, I think dh is turning into a Scrooge McDuck fan!!!!

We saw Scrooge McDuck on our trip last February 6-13. He was near the Main Street Barber signing autographs.

I got my picture with him at the MVMCP in December. I'm a huge Donald Duck and family fan, so I was thrilled to finally see him! And that's the only time i've ever seen him.
