Texas Roadhouse which is new to our area, and Logan's Roadhouse.

Sage's 15th birthday is tomorrow (Dec. 28th) and we always take our sons out to eat for dinner at their choice of restaurants. He's narrowed it down to the two I just mentioned.

Anyone have a review to share? I'm not a red meat eater, so I know my choices will be somewhat limited. I just want the rest of my family to have a good meal! I've already checked out their menus online.

Can anyone help me out here?

TIA! :goodvibes

All my family loves Texas roadhouse, I have never eaten at the other one.

We have both in our area and we prefer Logans. They have a good variety of chicken and seafood too so you won't be too limited! Here's the chick and seafood menu:

Chicken & Seafood Entrees
All entrees include Dinner or Caesar Salad, Logan's famous homemade yeast rolls and choice of side.

Southwestern BBQ Chicken
A fresh boneless chicken breast topped with BBQ sauce, melted jack cheese and tomatoes. Served with baked beans and your choice of side.

Logan's Mesquite Grilled Chicken
A fresh boneless chicken breast smothered with our own Parmesan Peppercorn dressing. Served over rice, plus your choice of side.

Teriyaki Grilled Chicken
Marinated in a blend of teriyaki sauce, pineapple juice, herbs and spices. Served over rice, plus your choice of side.

Coastal Carolina Shrimp
Nothin' gets better than this - big, tender shrimp, in a salt and pepper breading, fried golden brown. Served with Logan's new kickin' cocktail sauce.
Country Fried Chicken Tenders Dinner
The best chicken tenders since Mom made 'em! Served with zesty honey mustard and BBQ sauces.

Triple Shrimp Skewers
Pile it on with these three skewers of shrimp, zucchini and red onion. Served over rice pilaf with your choice of side.

Mesquite-Grilled Coho Salmon
A 10-ounce filet of the best wild caught Salmon.

Southern Fried Catfish
Two farm-raised catfish fillets, lightly breaded in a traditional cornmeal breading. Served with fresh lemon and French fries, or your choice of side.

Anyhow, it's very casual but a lot of fun and the food is usually really good at ours. Have fun and Happy Birthday to your ds!

Texas Roadhouse is loud :earseek: But good :sunny: Logans is great as well.

I've only been to a Texas Roadhouse. Kind of similar to Lonestar (throw your peanut shells on the floor), but the food was better.

They are VERY VERY similar. I tend to head for Logans due to a larger menu choice then Texas Roadhouse. Both have the peanuts on the ground, good steaks, western atmosphere, etc.

We don't have a Logans but our family LOVES Texas Roadhouse! The rolls and honey butter are to die for! I love getting the loaded sweet potato (with carmel and marshmallows)!

I get chicken at TRH - DH, DD, and DS usually get steak and ribs. Food is excellent! :)

Texas Roadhouse (at least ours here) has some excellent early bird specials as well... something to think about.

Never been to Logan's

We go to Texas Roadhouse often. It is loud, like another poster said. But, it is good. The loaded sweet potato (marshmallows, caramel sauce, & brown sugar) and the Cinnamon Honey Butter for their rolls are both sinful!

I haven't been to Logan's, but Texas Roadhouse made the BEST steak I've EVER tasted!!! I'm drooling just thinking about it. I need to go back there. Soon.

Never been to Texas Roadhouse, but we love Logan's. Good steaks, great rolls, casual atmosphere and lots of peanuts.

We have both here, and we prefer Texas Roadhouse, especially if you are getting steaks.

True at TR, but at many Lonestar'sthey have stopped this policy, due to peanut allergies and liablity issues.

Too me, these places are almost all interchangeable. Decent food. Reasonable prices.

The Lonestar here stopped with the peanuts a few years ago and claimed it was some woman that slipped and tried to sue them. Right.
It was obviously a cost cutting measure. Pure and simple. Logans still has the peanuts flying as does Roadhouse and Longhorns and Hops. All good food IMO.

Cotton Patch stopped with the peanuts and they said it was due to peanut allergies. Totally understandable but interesting that they are the only restaurant that has done it...

We've had Texas Roadhouse for a while now. It is pretty good for a chain restaurant. We love the rolls and honey cinnamon. My favorite is the chopped sirloin with onions and mushrooms.

We have both. I actually love both restaurants. My first choice would be Texas Roadhouse. I LOVE the cinnamon butter and hot rolls better than Logans. I always get the fried chicken salad at Texas. Delicious. I've had the roasted chicken and it's delicious too. I don't eat red meat either. At Logans I like the barbecue chicken and the teriyaki chicken dinners. Both places are good. I don't think you'll go wrong with either. Have fun!
