Looking for reviews about Fort Camper Rentals.

I was thinking about renting a pop up camper from For Camper Rentals for our upcoming trip in October.
Has anybody ever used them? Or do you have other better suggestions for camper rentals? Is there any trouble from Disney with 3rd party companies setting up campers for guest?

I've noticed so many of your post here. You are a wealth of information. I appreciate you helping me out. I went with Greenberg RV Florida. they seemed like wonderful people on the phone. I got a Coachmen Piccolo for 8 days and with the cost of a preferred site, I'm coming out about $300-400 above what a Value room would be! Being at the Fort itself is what our trip is all about. I would have tented but I just didn't want to risk the family in Hurricane season. Now I'm rambling... Thanks again.

Yeah, I prolly post too much.

Keep in mind that in a Value room you eat out nearly all your meals. The thing with a trailer is you can get some groceries and eat in which will save money (and be healthier foods if that's an issue). We even pack a lunch into the parks (stash it in a rental locker during the day). So I think that will help from a cash flow standpoint.

Make sure you leave some down time (a day or two) just to lounge around the Fort, go looping, or take advantage of the recreational opportunities.

That's true.
We plan on cooking most of out meals at camp. And packing lunches when we hit the parks. Out of our 10 day stay well be hitting the parks only 5 days.

So glad I found this board! We were going to borrow my in laws travel trailer but our Explorer is woefully unprepared to tow it. They would probably let us use their Suburban but who wants to pay that gas? Looked into Greenburg and I think that is the way we are going as well. Funny enough the pop up campers were more at $69 a night then the trailer at $449 for the week!

I used Fort Camper Rental last August. The service was great. They had it all set up and the air conditioner running when I got there, then arrived at check out time to do all the take down. We just walked in at check in with food and clothes and out at check out with the same. They decorated it with Disney sheets and dish towels and yard art and awning lights. My teens loved it!

@stitchfan75. I just booked with Greenberg RV Florida a few days ago (for mid-October) They were sold out of their smallest Trailer so we opted for one size up. We were planning on tent camping so this is a huge step up for us! A/c, our own shower, kitchen, fridge and 2 tv's! We spoke with Edwin who was super helpful responsive, & knowledgeable. So far so good, hopefully their follow through is as good. Also golf carts for $30 a day!

Golf carts at $30 a day OMG .... what a savings over Disney prices. I know you will really enjoy the Fort in a trailer vs tent camping. What luxury. No worries about the weather, and you've got your own rest room and shower. Enjoy.

We rented a trailer from Matt at Greenburg last year. Communication was great and everything went better than planned. Our trailer was brand new, included everything we needed for a fun week at the Fort. This is now the only way we will do Disney, no more hotel rooms.

I have a confirmed rental from Greenberg RV n April. I am interested in the golf cart rental for $30/day. When I asked if they had golf carts available for rent I was told no by Edwin. Confused. Or maybe they are all reserved for that time period.

Hmm... Maybe it's the case that they are sold out. He said they have a deal with Disney and they keep them on property. Re-checked my confirmation email. Edwin wrote- "Firepits for only $40 flat fee... Also Golf carts at $30/ day...."

Last year Matt only had a few golf carts, I don't think he wants to push his luck. We had a reservation with another unnamed business for a cart paid in full and on the day of arrival he left a message saying he could not take care of us. Matt heard me on the phone and said he could get us a cart for the week.

I've heard bad things about Tee Time here on the boards. I've tried to do my research and I haven't found anything bad about Greenberg or Fort camper Rentals. I was on the fence about the golf cart, but I think you are correct that his supply might be limited so I should probably lock one in!

We just returned yesterday from The Fort after a week with a Fort Camper Rental pop-up. This was our second time renting from them. They do a great job with themes, which is perfect for our kids. The units are clean and stocked when you arrive (if you have them do your grocery shopping), lights are up, A/C running, etc. For $65 per day I think its a good value.

We had an older unit this time, so it had the expected wear and tear...if you are looking for a newer unit they have at least one newer trailer out of their fleet of four.

Photo stew....you INSPIRED me. Just rented a camper from greenburg for 10 days in Oct at the Fort. My husband and I have discussed trip to food n wine for several months but I haven't had a chance to research camper rentals. Stuck in house watching snow in north Alabama so decided to bite bullet and see if we could get reservation at fort and a rental camper. Also rented a golf cart from greenberg. Edmund was great at helping me determine which camper we needed. This will be a grown up only trip. Me, DH, and 2 dogs! Cannot wait and so excited to be counting days down to make dining plans. This will be our 2nd trip to disney and the fort. Like many others we immediately fell in love w life at the fort. Maybe we will see you there!

We'll be there October 17-26 hopefully staying in the 300 loop. My wife and our DS2.5. We ended up going with The Coachmen Piccolo. 2nd from their smallest but plenty of room for us. I haven't got a golf cart yet but I think it'll be a must do. There's just so much to do around the fort. I originally from Arkansas. We used to pass through Mobile on our way down to WDW. We'll be driving down from NYC (16.5hrs). Stay warm. Looks like y'all have it as bad as us right now with this weather.

I think it is wonderful you can create those special memories w your 2 year old. That is going to be a long drive from NYC so be careful.

We are booked at fort oct 18 to Oct 27 hopefully loop 800 or 900. We will follow Bama Ed's advice n post info before trip so DISers can visit.

Re: golf carts ...I would call and add to your reservation at greenberg soon. Edmund had to put me on hold to double check availability and got feeling they do not have large quantities. Probably only for their customers?
