Looking for Resort Gift Shop Photo's

Thanks for the AKL pics. We're going in July and now I've already mentally spent all our money :rotfl: Any idea what size this was? We just bought a new house last year and decided to do our guest bedroom with an Animal Kingdom theme and wanted a nice, large photo for above the bed. Thanks for the pics!!

I will be back over there this weekend. I'll try to remember to get some measurements for you, as well as a price. It's so fun to have Disney resort rooms in your house. My bedroom is Polynesian, our kitchen is Wilderness Lodge, and our den is Old Key West.

That is AWESOME! I love that idea, and I just bought a new house. However, I would never be able to get DH onboard! He wasn't too impressed with Disney WOrld in '08:confused3. OH well.

The only room I might be able to decorate in a theme is my art room, but I think it would be a clash of themes as much as I like Disney.

Love this thread! I just came back from a quick trip to WDW, and I miss it already! I love looking around the shops and now I have a few more I have to visit :goodvibes

One of my favorite things to buy is the Mickey soap at Basin. Cut the bar into thirds and it lasts a long time. Love the smell and having a daily reminder of my trips.

That would be wonderful!! :worship: Thank you so much!! Cute theme room ideas!! I like that we can find ways to make it Disney, but in an understated way so that Mickey doesn't smack you in the face ;)

I always thought I has the only one that had a fasicnation for the gift shops :rotfl:

I'll be there Friday, so I'll keep my eyes open for it and come back and report, if I see it.

to my fellow shoppers - i'm just wondering, do any other women/girls have the problem of disney shirts not fitting? my past 2 trips (this past october and april) i kept finding the CUTEST shirts and no matter what style it is , i try it on and it doesnt look good on me! i consider myself thin-average build, a little on the busty side though. what the heck! the prettiest shirts and i can never get any because they either are too tight in the sleeves or too long or just look funny on me. it makes me so sad :sad1:

I sometimes have that issue. I'm not what I would consider to be thin-average, but I am busty. The shirts that are made in Junior's sizes are usually too small, and the regular t-shirts are usually too big. They say for a t-shirt to fit properly the seam at the top of the sleeve should hit you mid-shoulder, and they always fall off my shoulder which makes me look wider and I hate it!

you are not alone - i can't buy shirts from Disney either - the material is cut horribly, it's either too long & skinny (made for a pre-pubescent 12 year old) or too boxy. i have complained to them for years, nothing has changed.

I am the same as well- I have to buy fitted ladies clothes or look like a complete slouch! because I am thin-average and busty (Womens 6/8 shirt)- and now I know to make it a point to try tshirts on before I buy... just a tip for t shirts- it may or may not work... but, instead of buying a ladies M with too small sleeves or a ladies L that is just BOXY on me, I am now buying Mens' sizes. If I want a fitted look I go with a mens' S and if I want the "big, comfy" look, I get a men's M.

You may have to spend some time trying on different sizes and even different cuts to find your style... but the guys always have some cool stuff!

I have some from the Polynesian:

Thanks for all of these pictures! I am so into this thread! Couldn't you just spend hours in those shops?!?! Jeremy always drags me out before I'm even half finished looking at stuff! So nice to see others who can appreciate them!!

OMG I thought it was just me!! They are either way to tight in the chest region or way too big and look like they belong on a man! I rarely come home from WDW with a shirt. And the ones I do have I rarely wear because they are so uncomfortable or don't look right. :sad1:

I was wondering is that a short sleve shirt or a long sleve shirt and when was this picture taken, because I am wondering if it's still being sold?

When I zoom in I can see the long sleeve and the photo was taken at the end of March 2010. I will be back there next week and will check to see if they are still there if you like.

It's long-sleeved. If you look at the bottom left, you can see the elasticized cuff.
