Looking for quality made in Canada disposable masks!

Thank you everyone for the many suggestions! We ended up purchasing disposable Pri-Med from Staples masks and FN-95 masks from Canada Strong. While we enjoyed both, we ended up mostly wearing the FN-95. They were super comfortable and the middle part did not rest directly on our faces. 3D glasses did not fog up either!

Piece of advice... get mask lanyards! They were a must for the many times we went from indoor to outdoor!

I bought some from a Canadian Company - Canada Strong Masks and they were recommended by a biostatistician that I follow on twitter. I still wear my homemade cloth mask when I go grocery shopping but I wear the other one when I go to the Dr's and when I went for my shot.
Do you like these? We just ordered some for an upcoming cruise. We have our existing masks (cloth, 2 and 3 layered) but thought these would be good when we are indoors. Got one pack of adult size for DH and the next size down for myself and our kids (teen/tween)

I just got some and have been wearing them at school on the days I have indoor lunch duty. They are a tad snug fitting, but that’s likely a good thing! I get a LOT of condensation when wearing them outside, so much so that there is a fair amount of water in the mask when I go indoors (I teach some outdoor ed classes and we are supposed to wear masks outside). We are going to wear them for Christmas at Disney.

Thanks for the feedback. Will need to give them a try and see if we have the same issue. We have lots of different masks (and even purchased some filters for another layer) so have backup if these are troublesome.
Enjoy your trip at Disney!

So the difference between an N95 mask and a procedure mask is the intended use. The procedure mask is used in medical settings when they are not generating aerosols, and there may be moisture or liquid. An N95 mask is used with patients when aerosols are being generated. The materials that compose an N95 mask and procedure masks are both very effective at filtering out bacteria and particles, but an N95 is tested with smaller particles than the procedure mask. In a healthcare setting, doctors and nurses are generally using ASTM level 3 masks unless there is a super high risk due to the procedure they are doing. For example, all of our covid swabbing nurses are wearing level 3 masks, not N95's, while anesthesiologists who are removing intubation from a patient after surgery are wearing N95's.

Since there are very few situations where we are exposed to aerosols the way that a medical professional is, the procedure masks are considered to be very effective for non-medical use.
But yeah, you have the gist of it. The fit of a mask is just as important as what the mask is made of, and the N95 mask is effective because of the way it is designed to fit the face, which requires a fit test to be effective.

Thank you for explaining so well! My sister's at St. Mike's downtown and said exactly what you have said about N95s. So when we had to take a flight back in October i ordered the Humask brand masks from costco dot ca. Canadian made and ATSM level 3. Disposable. Breathable.
I double masked and could breathe fine my entire trip, in fact was able to sleep on the flight with them on (good thing no one saw my drooling!)
