We are hoping to travel down sometime in 2018 or early 2019. We will be a party of 5. 2 adults and 3 kids that will be about 14, 4 and 2.

I am wondering which resorts have the little pull down bed like in POR Alligator Bayou. I know the 14 year old will not want to share a bed with her 4 year old brother. I can think of POR, GF studio, and I think Poly studio?

I am also hoping to have a great pool with the toddler water area such as the awesome Alice in Wonderland one at GF. I can think of GF, Poly, POFQ and Kidani. It been a few years since I've researched resorts and we didn't have toddlers at the time so never really payed attention.

Thanks everyone. Can be mods, deluxe, dvc. Open to pretty much anything that will fit what we are looking for.

Several deluxe resorts and some moderates have standard rooms that sleep 5 with a daybed that is about the size of a twin bed.

Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Beach Club, Boardwalk, Yacht Club, Port Orleans Riverside, and Caribbean Beach Resort.

Many DVC studios also sleep 5. I would suggest a resort room over a DVC studio...the studios are often smaller than the corresponding resort rooms.

I am basically in the same boat as the original poster, however I will have a 4 year old and a 2 year old when we travel in October 2018. Quick question, the only way to get a resort room is to book thru Disney, is that correct? My original plan was to rent DVC points but I'm concerned the studio is going to be too small for us for the week.
Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure a daybed can be guaranteed at a hotel that doesn't have daybeds in all of the rooms (and I can't remember off the top of my head which resorts automatically have a daybed in all rooms).

Resorts with a daybed, for sure: Poly, Contemporary, Grand Floridian.

At Boardwalk Inn, Beach Club and Yacht Club, there is a daybed in SOME rooms. Not all. It's a request.

DVC studios that sleep 5 are at Boulder Ridge, Poly, Grand Floridian, Boardwalk Villas and Beach Club Villas. Other studios sleep 4. Of those, there are good child splash areas at all but Boardwalk; Boardwalk's kiddie pool is pretty blah.

The other resorts with quality child splash areas are POFQ, AKL-AKV, Caribbean Beach, and Saratoga Springs (there are 2!). POFQ, AKL-AKV and Saratoga do not sleep 5 in most rooms and/or studio villas. Guests at POR can use the splash area at POFQ.
