I currently have a late morning ADR at Tusker House- figure id get a little breakfast and lunch that way. We've been there before though so I was thinking of switching for Garden Grill. If you prefer Garden Grill, do you recommend breakfast or lunch/dinner?

TH is the best character buffet on property and is a contender for best buffet on property. GG would be a nice second choice, I'd pick lunch or dinner. Seems like breakfast is kinda pricey.:earsboy:

Both are good choices. I give Garden Grill the edge because you don't have to go to a buffet line. The food is all you can eat and it is brought to your table. The booths on the lower level feel very private and for me it's hard to beat the atmosphere of Living with the Land as you rotate through parts of it while you eat. The characters always come by more than once, as well. We have always had excellent service and it is simply less chaotic by design.

We did both last trip and are doing both again next month but if I had to choose I’d go with GG. I found the character interaction better, the restaurant felt less busy and loud and it was nice having the food brought to our table rather than having to go to the buffet and try to keep an eye on where the characters were so we didn’t miss any.

They are very different so I'd go with the menu and characters you want. I think both have really good character interaction. Tusker House has a buffet (plus-more variety, negative-going back and forth for a buffet), GG turns which is fun. I love that the food comes to me and I can just relax. TH has the Ducks, minnie and goofy. GG Mickey, Chip and Dale and Pluto.

GG is more relaxing. (The characters practically babysat the kids, they came around so much and I was able to eat!)
TH has more variety

We are doing both this next trip. We are doing lunch for both. (11:30 for both).

Oh, and since you've done TH, I'd suggest GG to try something new!

GG is more relaxing, no buffet lines, and great character interaction. I met Chip n' Dale twice and had an excellent server.

We enjoyed GG much more than TH. We did a late breakfast at both, and we will not be going back to TH. Used to be a favorite of ours, but last time, over Christmas, the food was just not that good. Best last breakfast we had was GG and CP. We'd do both those breakfast buffets again. But, YMMV

We like them both, but we were used to pre-park opening breakfast at TH and opted for a late morning breakfast there last trip. It was much louder and busier than we were used to, and they also did the lunch switch-over slightly early so we didn't get many breakfast items. As mentioned, Garden Grill is a little more relaxed and with the set up, I didn't feel like other people were on top of us.

I agree with this. I enjoy Garden Grill (breakfast) a lot more than Tusker House. Its more relaxing, no buffet lines, dont have to rush to the buffet with the worry that you'll miss a character....we too have met the characters TWICE....plus you get chip & dale, which is rare. I love them!!!!! We too had an amazing server. If that wasnt enough to convince you, the food is soooo good. So fresh, and plentiful. YUM! If you want more of something, they'll bring it! They do serve a chocolate sauce for the waffles btw, in addition to syrup. Plus cinnamon buns! :cloud9:

Another person who would give GGrill a slight edge between the 2. We love both places but it is nice having the food brought to us. And I would choose lunch over breakfast. Breakfast just isn't something Disney seems to be able to pull off consistently.

Whoops. Sorry. I thought it was MInnie-looked at photos and I don't have a mouse photo at all. I probably misremembered it. I apologize for giving incorrect info.
