We will be celebrating DD's 16th b'day in WDW. She is very non-assuming and never asks for anything, but we want to make her day really special. This will probably be a non-park day, though we may do rope drop and a few hours at MK...or maybe a water park. Dinner will hopefully be at CG during Wishes, if we can score the ADR.

Any ideas on either b'fast or lunch that might be special for a 16 year old girl? I was thinking maybe even tea at the GF?

Welcoming all suggestions!

TIA!

How about b-fast at CM's? Get her the birthday button and maybe even call and have a Sweet 16 cake or balloons delivered to your table.

I'm sure the characters will make a big fuss about her spending her 16th birthday with them.

If you are able to, I'd do the afternoon tea as well. Kinda starting the day as a "child" and progessively getting older. You can have cocktails after dinner......totally kidding. :goodvibes

Last year we celebrated my DD's 16th bday. She really enjoyed Akershus breakfast (I know, you said non-park). So, this year in April we are celebrating her 17th bday and we're on the DxDP so we have an ADR every meal but...her breakfast choices were Akershus (again) and the Lilo & Stitch breakfast at Ohana's.

I think the Afternoon Tea is a perfect birthday lunch for a 16 year old.

How about either Capt'n Cooks a CS or Ohanna a TS, then take the mon-o-rail over to the MK for rope drop?
You can even take the momo from the GF

How about Boma breakfast...good selection of food and yummy juice and coffee. I think the GF tea is a great idea.

Thank you everyone, for your suggestions!

We are doing Chef Mickey's for dinner on our arrival night (the kids INSISTED on the napkin dance with Mickey), and I think CM once per trip is good. We are staying at AKL later in the week, so we may do Boma b'fast a different day. We will be staying at the Poly for the birthday, so now I am leaning toward an all-monorail-resort-birthday-blowout! I think we'll do 'Ohana breakfast, GF Tea for lunch, and CG for dinner. But I'm kind of drawn to 1900 Park Fare for b'fast, too...We've never been there, how is the breakfast? And how does it compare to 'Ohana?

:rotfl:
DH and I are laughing out loud over our coffee, Cindy's Mom! She's the kind of girl who'd look at us funny and say "no thanks" if we even offered! She'll be drinking Shirley Temples at frat parties...or so we've been led to believe! ;)
