Looking for new everyday dinnerware

Any recommendations?

Time to replace our dishes. Looking for something casual, dishwasher and microwave safe that's chip and scratch resistant.

It's been a long time since I've purchased dishes; there's so many options available now.

Also have Fiestaware. Love the colors, but it's heavy for everyday use

My kids are still using my grandmother's 1970's gold edge decorated Corelle dishes.

I agree that Corelle is the best casual dinnerware. Many years ago, I had a lovely set of Pfaltzgraf, but it was so heavy that it pulled my kitchen cabinets off the wall. It now sits in boxes in my garage.

Plain white Corelle. It's so much lighter and takes up less room in my cabinets. It doesn't chip or break easily either.

I have a set of Villeroy & Boch in the Twist Alea pattern, which has lots of opportunities for mixing and matching with its yellow, green, and basic options. I haven't broken a piece yet after 12+ years of use.

Totally agree with this. I have Fiestaware. It is pretty but I've had it a while, it is heavy, and I'd like to switch to Corelle.

I’m hard on dishes. I just go to a discount store avd buy what they have. But I think mismatched dishes are fun. If I buy a plate for $2 abd it breaks, no big deal.

I have black and white Corelle for every day and plain white Crate and Barrel for company.

Corelle lasts FOREVER but I don’t love the look of it. (My mom has has the same Corelle dishes as long as I can remember)
