Is anyone planning on doing the "Looking For Mickey Quest" (beginning July 16th) in DL or DCA?

I would love to hear about your experience!

We are planning to do the Mickey Quest in DL and DCA. Our first day in the parks will be the 16th so we hope to buy the guides that day - not sure what to expect with the crowds but will report back.

What is this?
It's a new activity in the parks. They are selling maps/guides and you go through the parks and find answers to the questions. You then redeem the maps for a prize. It seems to be much like the Easter Egg hunts, but pricier.

We're planning to do one or both when we go next week. Will let you know how it is/was!

I'm hoping that these last. We get there on the 28th and I would love to be able to do this.

If there is already a thread for this - sorry!

Can you keep each other up to date on the status of the maps?

Last time we went for the Easter map is was already sold out. Please let us know if and when you got one!

Belleandtinker -- there, indeed, was another thread and it had almost the exact same title, if not the exact same title. I merged the two threads together.

Got our Mickey Quest map from the Disneyana store right beside the Lincoln Theatre. They has lots and this was around 9:45 am. They asked if I wanted to get my prize before I finish the quest which I did since I didn't know if they will run out like what I heard about the Easter Egg Hunt. Some of the questions consisted of getting on some rides and finding the hidden Mickeys. The correct answer is one of the 3 that are given for each question. We haven't done one question yet - long line ups and getting too hot! But we will eventually get to it during our stay.

I say yes, I don't want to spend $20 per kid if the prize isn't worth it.... :) But that is me! Also, is it only ONE prize and no choice (so everyone gets the same thing) or did you get to choose from a few different things?

Thank you!

Agreed! Would like to know. I can keep it a secret from the rest of my family if it's worth it!

SPOILER ALERT: The Disneyland "prize" is on the left (made of metal) and the DCA "prize" is on the right (made of plastic). They both come with lanyards.

I have kind of a weird question. Are the hidden Mickeys ones that already existed, or have they been added just for this quest (like the Easter eggs)?

Thanks!
