I am looking to find maps of the rooms for the DVC Boardwalk Villas. I have found plenty on the Beach Club Villas, but nothing on Boardwalk. We have spent the points for a 2 Bedroom Villa with a preferred view, any suggestions of what rooms to request? or to stay away from? We are taking two infants, so quiet would be nice...

Has anyone been to Parkinfo2go .com? They have detailed maps of BCV... that is what I was hoping to find for BWV. Any direction is appreciated.

Would like a room that faces BW and fireworks, since we will probably be back in the room early with the babies.... (don't think they will take to well to the loud booms of Illuminations from within EPCOT). If anyone once stayed in a great 2BR please let me know... it never hurts to request at check-in!

Thanks

Here's a map of BWV....the Villas run along the left half of the map, the right half is BWI (regular resort, not DVC).

If you have a Preferred View room, and it isn't Boardwalk Preferred View, then you won't be looking out on the Boardwalk, the lake and the fireworks. You will have a room that looks out the other direction (towards the left side of the map) and will be looking at the main pool, the quiet pool or the Swan/Dolphin hotel with the canal.

The good news is that these rooms are fairly quiet...if quiet is important then I'd suggest asking for a room near the quiet pool (#21 on the map). If you are a DVC owner and made your own reservation, then I'd call MS and request that location if you want it. Personally, I focus on smoking/non-smoking request first as that is most important for us. Location is secondary.

Good luck! :)

The quiet pool is over on the inn side, so that view is not available from a DVC villa. And to restate the point made by Granny, unless you specifically reserved Preferred Boardwalk View (not just "Preferred"), you will not be facing the Boardwalk and lake.

As far as general location tips:

All villas in the resort have a four digit room number. The first digit refers to floor (1=1st, 2=2nd, etc.)

The villa complex runs from the northwest to the southeast. The last three digits refer to how far "northwest vs. southeast" the room is; higher numbers are further southeast (towards the lobby area) with lower numbers towards the northwest (Jellyrolls end of complex).

As a general rule of thumb, villas in the preferred category that are in and around the main pool area will have room numbers ending in between 18 and 95 (some face the pool. others look in the general direction of the Swan and Dolphin). Those with numbers ending in 18 or lower will directly face the Swan and Dolphin.

As far as specific villa recomendations, two points. While yes it never hurts to ask, requesting a specific villa number is a real crap shoot -- that particular villa has to be turning over the day you are checking in, and the statistical likelihood of that is very low (so don't pin your heart on that type of request).

Second, I can't really help with a specific Preferred 2BR recommendation, because we've only stayed in the Boardwalk view category. In the latter, my sentiment is contrarian to the general logic you see on the DIS. The best Boardwalk view villas are the ones which are far, not close to the elevators.

another quiet pool by community hall is your best bet..

If you look on the map, #21 is a quiet pool on the BWV side. As Bill K said, it is next to Community Hall. We've had that view before and really liked it. :)
