Hi, my dad and brother are planning a trip to Ireland in Sept. Is this a good time to go? How is the weather? I know they are planning to spend some time in Lietrim because my dad has family there that he has never met, but what are some not to be missed sights? I know if they had their way they will spend all their time in the pubs, but why travel all that way just for that when we have plenty of Irish bars in Chicago. I just thought I would get an insiders perspective that maybe a travel agent won't have. Thanks! :thumbsup2

Weather in september tends to be nice get lots of warm days tends to be chilly in the evening the schools go back in september so it will be less busy around there is plenty to do near Leitrim. Sligo and Donegal are near both beautiful towns to visit here is a good website will give you information cliks on the map at the bottom of the page to find out what each county has to offer... http://www.discoverireland.ie/northwest/what-to-do.aspx

Do they have any other plans on where they plan to travel as Ireland has many beautiful places to visit.:)

Thanks for the reply, I don't know what they want to do as I told my mom who isn't going with them - I hope they don't get into too much trouble seeing as neither one of them are slouches when it comes to drinking. I know if I was going (and I REALLY want to go) I would have all sorts of things planned. But they are men so who knows. I will let my brother know about the link you posted. Thanks again!
