Hi,

As a new member to the board this is my first post. I am in the planning for my first family visit. I want to avoid crowds as much as possible so a winter visit is in the works for next year. Can anyone offer any advice/comments on visiting next January 2009, after Martin Luther King Day (Monday the 19th) and before the SuperBowl happening in Tampa on (Feb 1,sunday):cheer2: . Is this possible or will the crowds from both events impact too much on my target dates. I'm planning on spending at least a week at Disney. Thanks for any advice you can give.

Steve

That is ouor FAVORITE time to visit. A little more crowded for MLK but after that you are talking walk ons!! Weather can be iffy so plan to take a little bit of everthing and have a BLAST.

I have been there in late January but unfortunately this was before there was a MLKjr day so there were no crowds at all. The weather was nice but a little too chilly for swimming; we wore tshirts, jeans, and windbreakers. I have heard that crowds pick up a little before and after the holiday weekend and I think there might be some special events planned for January now also, like a maraton, cheerleading trips, etc. Check some websites like mousesavers.com and allears.net for more info on these. Good luck and have fun.:woohoo:
