:banana:Hello all, I am new to the boards and I am trying to plan a trip for Jan 2010, ony my 2nd time there and the last was in April of 2000, however am unable to come up with a reasonable idea of how much of an increase may take place between now and then. Can someone give me a general idea of what a usual increase in price might be? Does it go up significantly or is it just a small almost unnoticable jump?:scared1::cheer2::surfweb: I really can't wait, btw in case this makes a difference I'm planning on adding the DDP.

Thanks everyone

Thank you for the Welcome Metro West, I am taking it that no one has any idea how to answer my question.:confused3 That's ok though, maybe someone can help me with this, as far as the value resorts go which one is the favorite?

:confused3I am not sure what you mean by a price increase? Exactly what are you asking for: rooms, dining, park tickets? Maybe if you give more info someone can help.:thumbsup2

:welcome: to the DIS!

I agree, more info might help. That is a hard question to answer. Not sure if there really is an answer because sometimes things go up and go down - there are discounts, etc all the time.

Sorry probably should have been more specific, If I rememeber correctly Hotel prices are the same this year as they were last year, I really don't think that they will go up due to the economy, or at least not that much, however, I have heard frequently that ticket prices go up yearly, I also didn't know anything at all about the ddp and whether or not it went up. I'm sure no one can give me a specific answer, I was just wondering if someone had a general idea of how much of a price increase to expect on any or all of the above listed things. It's really hard to come up with a budget planning so far in advance, and this will be the first time for us to stay on DIS property.

I'm guessing maybe the best way to save some $ would be to book your vacation this year to get this year's prices. Possibly check out some travel agents to see what type of deals they are offering. Hope this helps a little.;)

Welcome to the boards. Typically it has been about a 5-10% increase per year the last few years we have gone. When we booked our room for Feb 2010 the CM told me the prices may go down or stay the same next year due to the economy. (I will believe that when I see it). I wouldn't say it's unnoticeable but it is not crazy.

Hope this helps. Have a great time planning and use these boards. They have given us great tips over the years.

To all who responded thank you. I too had gotten a similar hint when I called to speak to someone at DIS about booking a package, he told me that I could not book a package at that time, so I asked about booking just the room and he told me that it wasn't a good idea, because "they wouldn't be able to give me the discounted rate if rates went down" I hope they do but doubt they will. Also does anyone have any suggestions of something special to do while we are there. I think I may drive my DH up a tree before we go and I thought I would like to do something nice for him.

Thanks again

Well, depending on what you and your DH likes, Disney offers a horse and buggy ride for I believe under $40.00. We did this once in December. The night was chilled so the driver gave us a blanket to throw over our legs (great for snuggling). I believe you could also bring your favorite drink with you (bottle of wine or champagne). The ride is not long, about 1/2 hour and could be a nice after dinner thing to do together if you are looking for something to do other than the parks (It could spark a little romance too!):dance3:
