Looking for information on canceling reservation

I remember last year when I booked my trip I went to a page of the Disney site that had information about canceling reservations, but I can't find that information now anywhere up there.

I'd like to plan a trip for January but I'm a freelancer so I never know if I'll be on a job or not at the time. I need to know for sure how many dollars I'll lose if I have to cancel the trip when the time gets closer. But I also want to secure a room (maybe even package) so that I know I'll get what I want and not have to settle and maybe be able to add on a code.

Does anyone have a link to the information? I recall something about having to cancel a certain amount of days out, or you won't get the full amount, or deposit or whatever back?

Thanks in advance!

For a room-only reservation the website says 6 days, but the CMs at CRO say 5 days.

Although they say 5 days, it really is 6, and itwould be one night's deposit - when booked through CRO, not sure if the same applies when booking on line.. For a pkg it is 45 days, but not sure if it is also one night or a certain amount...when we had to cancel a few yrs ago, it was $200 fee.

It doesn't "cost one night" according to the confirmation email I received today.

Copied from email:

"CANCELLATION POLICY: In order to receive a refund of your deposit, including credit card deposit transactions, notification of cancellation must be received 5 days prior to your arrival date. To cancel a reservation, call (407)-W-DISNEY(934-7639). Additionally, if you are holding any other reservations, they will not be cancelled unless you advise us. The cancellation and refund policy are subject to change."

It will "cost one night" if you cancel less than5 (or 6?) days prior to your check-in date.

Should have phrased that better - if you cancel less than 5 days (which is really 6, ask CRO and they will clarify) you will lose the one night's deposit.
