What airports are there?
Does anyone know where I can find a map that shows where the airports are located? (Want to see what is closest to my Brother and DSIL)
What airlines fly out of these airports and who is usually the cheapest?

Thanks in advance you guys!!

Southwest flies to MCO out of Long Island/Islip (ISP).

And, of course, both LaGuardia and JFK are on Long Island....

You don't say where your brother lives, but there are a couple of choices depending upon whether he lives in Nassau or Suffolk County. In Suffolk County, there is Islip MacArthur airport (Southwest Airlines and Delta fly out of this airport). You can check the website at www.macarthurairport.com to see exact location and other information.

In Queens (nearer to New York City) there is JFK International Airport (www.panynj.gov/CommutingTravel/airports/html/kennedy.html) - JetBlue, American and Delta fly out of here (there may be others to Orlando, you can check the web site) and LaGuardia International Airport (www.panynj.gov/CommutingTravel/airports/html/laguardia.html) with JetBlue, Delta, American, Continental etc.

Both JetBlue and Southwest usually have very good fares to Orlando. You would need to compare fares for the various airlines to see which is the best deal. Generally, we have found that JetBlue is cheaper out of JFK than LaGuardia, and Delta is less out of JFK than Islip MacArthur (don't know why, maybe because there are more flights out of JFK than the other airports). Good luck with your decision.

You've basically got JFK, LaGuardia, and Islip.

JFK and LaGuardia are best if you live in Nassau county, parts of Suffolk that are closer have good access to it as well.

Islip is in suffolk, but not too far out east, and it's great to fly to MCO, if you get a good fare. Southwest flies out of there, and if you install ding on your computer, alot of times you can get a roundtrip for under 120 dollars. It's great, it's not crowded, and it's so easy. When I lived in Orlando I always flew Southwest into Islip.

I've also used JFK and LaGuardia though, just in general. It depends, in May we're going to Disney and we managed to get 110 round trip on JetBlue, and we booked it, not wanting to take the risk of waiting for a ding fare, especially with 5 of us.

Basically, if you don't live too far out east, which airport on Long Island just boils down to which one has the cheapest rates.
