Since I'm not that creative of a person, I was wondering what type of ideas ya'll had for a Sweet 16 B-day party.

TIA! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :confused3

What type of year is it? A luau might be fun in the summer?

My boyfriends neice had hers last year and her parents rented out a hall and had a dj.

My b-day is in the middle of September.

If anybody else has anymore questions, feel free to ask!!

Well for mine my mom offered to let me have a big party. But I didn't want a big one. I ended up having a few of my closest friends over, we went to a Monarchs (hockey) game, and then they slept over. Cake, ice cream, pizza. Just plain and simple. Which was good since I ended up really sick for my 16th b-day and wouldn't have had the energy to deal with a big party.

I like that idea, I am probablly using that for my wedding in April!!

Also you could have a fifties theme!! You could make homeade milkshakes, and have a hoola contest. Everyone could wear poodle skirts and the guys could be grease lightning!!

Good luck on whatever you decide.

My sweet sixteen was at a country club and of course there was a dress code for the dining room. If I could do it again, I would like to have it in Cinderella's Castle!!!!

The 50's idea sounds like fun!! About two weeks ago I was in this 50's variety show where we got to dress up in poodle skirts and dance to all these great 50's songs. It was a whole lot of fun!!

Thanks for the ideas so far!

I'd go with a Disco theme. Kids really love the retro stuff. There's lots of great music to choose from, all kinds of costume ideas, and doesn't everyone just love the light reflecting off a disco ball?
