Good Morning fellow Disboard memebers!

I am looking for a good, clean, cheep hotel in Pigeon Forge for the 19th of Oct.. I am taking dd for her 13 birthday with her friend to dollywood, yes I know...it should be Disney World....

Any help would be great!

Thanks!

For as long as I remember, we have always stayed at the Conner Hill Motor Lodge. We were just there in August and the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. I love that they added free wireless Internet now. ;) I think they have a website, check it out. :goodvibes

We went a few years ago and stayed at a great place right next to Dollywood entrance: http://www.pigeonforgeramada.com/

Really clean SPACIOUS rooms and literally as close as being onsite. They also had a great breakfast as I remember, and my son loved the pool.

I really LOVED Dollywood, so much fun and so homey, I always said if Disney had a Country park, this would be IT! :thumbsup2

I'm glad to hear this about Dollywood! We don't have time for our usual fall trip to WDW so we're going in January, but decided to run up to the mountains. Older DD suggested Dollywood since we've never been there. Thanks for the good review!

If you can, enter into Dollywood after 3:00. Then the next day you can go for free!

Well, during the month of October, I do not think you will find cheap rates!
Fall colors is 'High Season'.

Here are a few suggestions:

For a cheap but nice and clean (but very small) room, check out the motel 6 at pigeon forge. I think the link is motel6pigeonforge.com.

This is right next to the Music Road Hotel and the Music Road Inn.

We like to stay at the Mainstay Suites at Pigeon Forge!
They are all suites, with a lot of room for you and your guest. Full Kitchen, etc... They have an extensive breakfast. It might be coolish for swimming outside, but they have a really nice indoor pool and hot tub. (Ask for a room with a little balcony, there are a few that do not)

I do hope you plan on driving up the mountains, It should be very nice! We were there last week, and there was just the slightest tinge of Fall color in the higher elevations.

DollyWood is great. (NOT Disney, of course...) But if you know what is there and what to expect, you will have a GREAT time!!! There are the rollercoasters, of course. The Smoky Mountain Wilderness Adventure (With Dolly and her 'cousin Clovis') is a real hoot!!!!

If you have never been to DollyWood, I highly suggest that you check out the show schedule and make sure to go see Heartsong.

You can send me a PM if you have any other questions.

Have a great time!

I also wanted to point out the weather can be rather cold because they ARE up in the mountains. There are LOTS of wet rides and a waterpark so walking around wet and cold was a challenge for me... :lmao:

Michael and I LOVED it. You're really making me want to go back, now. We went in July and it was so nice and cool! I can only imagine what it's like in fall and Christmastime!

We plan to go over Veterans Day holiday, which, if any one is interested, is the weekend that Dollywood starts their Christmas stuff. We're staying in Gatlinburg (GAtlinburg Falls Resort) so, as much as I appreciate the advice of going after three, I think that we will just go early on Friday rather than tie up the only two days we'll have in the mountains. The drive up takes us almost as long as going to WDW

We have been to Pigeon Forge several times. We will be going to see Dolly, again. It's just we haven't been is a couple of years and wondered about any thing new, or ones that have just gotten a little worse.

I will check out motel 6 and conner hill.

Thanks!

Miss Kelly, took your advice, I called and reserved a room. The lady answering the phone was very nice. Just a clean room....no frills, sounds GREAT! I got it for two nights, for $132...
Thanks!!

We use the Econolodge Riverside when we visit Pigeon Forge. It's very nice, clean, indoor pool. Ask for a room on the riverside to be away from the traffic. Kids can feed the ducks in the river, too!
