Hi there!
Planning to go to Disney with my husband and our three year old for a quick 3 day (2 night trip). Looking for an inexpensive off-property hotel that is close to Disney (ideally walking distance to Disney Springs). So far Caribe Royal, DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando - Disney Springs® Area, and Wyndham Lake Buena Vista have popped up in the right price range. Any thoughts on these or similar hotels?
Thanks in advance!

I have only stayed at the Double Tree of the ones you mentioned. It was very nice and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Large room with a separate bedroom and living room area. It think it also had a micowave if that is of interest to you. I'm not so sure you can walk to DS from the other resorts you mentioned...maybe the Wyndham, not sure exactly where that is. I don't think you can walk from Caribe Royal, at least not easily.

The Doubletree is the furthest of the Disney Springs hotels from Disney Springs. It is okay; I've stayed there in the past (way in the past). Honestly, though, a value resort likely runs about the same price, and will give you better transportation options, a food court, and magic bands for charging to the room.

If you're looking for advice for offsite hotels, I would check over on the Orlando board. I have stayed at the Hilton, the Doubletree and the Wyndham. Both the Wyndham and the Hilton are close to Disney Springs.

That being said, I would compare the price of one of the Values with the hotels that you have mentioned. Once you add in transportation to the Disney area and parking at the hotel and/or in the parks you may find that the price is pretty similar. Another option is to rent DVC points for a studio at Saratoga Springs or Old Key West which have boat transportation to Disney Springs. Here is the rent/trade board: https://www.disboards.com/forums/dvc-rent-trade.29/

Caribe Royal is not walking distance. We stayed on night at Disney Springs Doubletree and it was very nice. 1 bedroom, huge amount of room. We got a great discount using Mousesavers code. With free breakfast.
The Disney Springs hotel area has good transportation with park busses running continuously every 30 min.
Doubletree is furthest from Disney Springs but we did walk it.
You can google a map of these resorts to see the locations. Go to the Mousesavers web site and look at their discounts for these resorts, they have several hotels they get discount codes for. And sign up for their newsletter for further discounts.

You can find discounts that include free hotel parking on Mousesavers. We stayed at Doublee tree (no free parking) with a really good discount and free breakfast for a tad more than a tiny value room, and much less then a moderate. Really good value. We only stayed one night because we decided to arrive a day early, the perils of having an AP!

Only the Disney Springs hotels are withing walking distance to Disney Springs. The DoubleTree is the longest walk, the Hilton the shortest.

When booking these hotels, watch out for resort and parking fees. I usually tack on an and 40 percent nightly cost in fees and taxes when looking at these resorts on one of the hotel booking sites. It isn't always that high, but gives you a more realistic picture of what you could be paying.

Out of the hotels you listed I would recommend the DoubleTree Suites..

Stayed at them all -

Caribe is nice but it's not walking distance to Disney Springs or just about anywhere else.

Wyndham LBV - no - I won't go back there.

Doubletree - large suite, renovated only a few years ago and done very well, space great if you want to stay up after putting the little to bed. Walking distance to Disney Springs and more. AND part of the DS Shuttle bus service. This is one of our favorite hotels to stay at.
