We are a group of 6 adults sailing on the Carnival Pride out of Long Beach February 3, 2008. We would love to include a few days at Disneyland either before or after our cruise. We have all been to WDW many many times but none have ever been to DL. I'm looking for recommendations for:

1) whether to go before or after the cruise
2) where to stay (remember...there are 6 adults)
3) how many days we would need to be there in Feb
4) what airport to fly into / out of depending when we go to DL

I have looked at both onsite hotels and Embassy Suites offsite (they hold 6 in a room).

I would appreciate any and all help anyone can give me!! Thanks!

Hard to say and not sure it will make a lot of difference. January/February is refurb time at DLR, so some rides will be down either way. Park visitation will be roughly comprable in late January vs. early February (up until Presidents Day weekend).

All I can do here is give some general advice and links to other resources. See "HydroGuy's Hotel Rule" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1199862

3) how many days we would need to be there in Feb
In 2 days you will be able to experience a lot, 3 days more, and 4 days would probably be the maximum.

But try to overlap your stay with a weekend, as many of the shows, parades, fireworks, etc., will only be offered on weekends during off-season times.

If you were going during a busier time, I would tell you to avoid weekends if at all possible.
4) what airport to fly into / out of depending when we go to DL
John Wayne is closest. There is also LAX, Long Beach, and Ontario.

I would appreciate any and all help anyone can give me!! Thanks!
This should keep you busy for awhile: "A DLR Guide for WDW Vets" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1162599
