Hi everyone! I have a quick question. We're bringing the niece(4) and nephew(8) up for a trip to Universal in late October, and we were looking for things to do after we had to leave the parks at 5pm (I know IoA is open till 7, but so many rollercoasters).

I thought maybe one night we could wander back to WDW for MNSSHP but was a bit lost as to what to do for the next. I feel bad paying for a park ticket to only get a few hours before the kids crash. Is there anything really awesome or unique to do anywhere in Orlando? We're used to hitting up bars, but it's not that easy with kids in tow.

Haha! It completely slipped my mind. It's been so long since I've been to Universal. The last time I was there they were leveling the ground for this! Thank you!

It was a few weeks out from being done last time I was there. DS has been several times since and says it looks very cool, lots of fun.

My kids are young, and they would vote for a trip to the pool, which could be an option in late Oct. In reality, you will all be very tired after a day at the theme park, especially the 4-year-old. Dinner and some relaxation will be your best strategy. If you really want a taste of Disney, I'd suggest just having dinner at a resort, like AoA, Fort Wilderness or Wilderness Lodge.

Or eat one night at the Poly and watch wishes from it after dinner. Or go to the Beach Club and enjoy ice cream from the take out window or maybe a treat from the boardwalk bakery and then mini golf at the Fantasia course that's right near there. Otherwise, I agree, the minigolf at Citywalk is cute, both sides. Check the movie schedule, there may be a movie to see at CityWalk too. Lastly, some of the Disney resorts have movies on the beach, like at the Beach Club, that still be may be playing in October. Check to see. At the kids' ages though, a nice dinner and some pool time will probably wear them out.
