We are redoing our living room and were looking for prints or paintings that are Disney or Disney based. We currently have two awesome Imagineering renderings that we will frame and put up. One is an early concept drawing of a monorail by Bob Gurr and the other is blueprints of the sub from 20,000 Leagues. Would love to find other ART or concept drawings pics to add to the collection. We haven't had any luck on any online sites, but we may just buy one of the Imagineering books and scan the photos in there. Can anyone help??

NOT looking for character pics or animation cells. One cousin has his walls decked out in posters of Mickey and Minnie and the gang drinking shakes at a malt shoppe :sad2:

Just put in Bob Gurr's name in on Ebay and there is a pencil drawing of the People Mover...go have a look...

I buy ALOT from this gallery in NYC.. they will ship! Ask for Janice.. mention Laurie.. she'll know who I am!! ;)

Try ebay. Several years ago someone was selling blueprint copies of Sleeping Beaty Castle for about $50.

Just use "Disney" as an art keyword and ebay will email you however often you want of new listings!

Blueprints are art? I agree with concept drawings being very cool, but if blueprints are art, I've created hundreds of masterpieces. :woohoo:

No offense, I've just never thought of them as art before.

Heya cardaway! SURE blue-prints can be art. They are very contemporary and modern...clean lines, and if the blueish color fits your decor then it's all good! Frankly almost anything can be art. You may very well be able to sell some of your prints if the subject i interesting. Got any of say...Space Mountain??

Isyork: WHAT gallery????

Like Jennasis said, anything can be art if it means something to you! I would love a blueprint of a castle or the HM (I remember that one, too).

kdibattista, thanks for that link. Awesome stuff!

I totally agree. It's just something I've never thought of before. As somebody who creates them it's hard to see them as anything beyond precision and hard work. If I was to add any art element to them I would no longer be creating them for the same company.

Sadly my drawings are only of medical equipment. Don't think I'll be making any coin off those.

And since this is now on my mind I think it would be cool to have the blueprints for the Tower of Terror. :thumbsup2

I love my Kinkade of Disneyland's Castle. We bought it in Disneyland on the day it was release last September.

(I know, some people don't like Thomas Kinkade, but we do, so we buy'em.)

I love Kinkade art as well. Just wish he would do one of Disneyworld, too!
