Looking for December reservation

I know this is late planning, but my husband who is usually anti disney has agreed to go for a short trip in december. The only stipulation, we have to stay in our travel trailer. He is not hotel fan. Of course there is nothing available at disney reservations. So I thought I would see if any disers are planning to cancel a full hook up site from Dec. 17 - Dec 24. We don't need the entire week. Hoping for 4 days. any info would be greatly appreciated. keeping my fingers crossed.

Great!! I'm having a simular situation my husband wants me to add on a few more days to our reservation and I'm not having any luck yet.. But I'll keep trying. Congradulations!!

Did you get the reservation online or by phone? I am trying to get a res for Feb and have been calling daily. Any suggestions?

I got the reservations online. I was told to check everyday at 7 am, if somone cancels their reservation will show up at 7 am the next day, however I would check periodically throughout the day and new availability does show up at different times. If I were you I would check several times a day on the website. As soon as you find it book it quick even if the price is not what you were hoping. I booked it at a higher rate and then called the res number every day until a discount opened up for my days and they changed my rate to the cheaper one. Good luck. Fort wilderness is one of our favorite places.

I have been trying to obtain reservation at FW for the weekend of 12/29/06 through 1/2/07, my husband's birthday is on new years eve and his ultimate wish was to go rving at disney. He's in the military and going away for 3 months on 1/8/07 so I know this would be the perfect getaway. Anyone out there cancelling reservations during this time? Or does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? It would really mean so much to us, any suggestions would really be appreciated. Thank you! Thank You!!
