Hi all,
Will be in Orlando from Sept. 2 but am pretty flexible regarding which week to visit WDW parks. Have checked, and there are no Jewish holidays till the very last two days of the month. Europeans and Nth. Americans are back to work after summer vacations and those of us from the Southern Hemisphere are still a couple of months away from our own summer breaks! Colorado State University researchers ARE currently predicting a more active hurricane reason this year but if I'd factor this into our decision making process I'd also be forced into looking at crime and motor vehicle accident rates in Florida, not to mention incidents of people slipping in their bathrooms!!
Besides, I can only take a holiday in Sept. so that's what there is!
However, I see that Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is scheduled for:
September 5, 2008, 7:00PM - 12:00AM
September 9, 2008, 7:00PM - 12:00AM
September 12, 2008, 7:00PM - 12:00AM
September 16, 2008, 7:00PM - 12:00AM
September 19, 2008, 7:00PM - 12:00AM
September 23, 2008, 7:00PM - 12:00AM
September 26, 2008, 7:00PM - 12:00AM
September 28, 2008, 7:00PM - 12:00AM
September 30, 2008, 7:00PM - 12:00AM
and that the 'Night of Joy' Contemporary Christian Music festival is scheduled for September 5, 2008 and September 6, 2008, 7:30PM - 12:30AM at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Would it be a fair assumption to say that, in light of the events above, instead of a drop-off in crowds after the Labor Day weekend, we could expect higher than average WDW crowds during this first week of Sept.?
If so, it would be better to visit some of the other Orlando parks during week 1 and use our Seven Day Park Hopper for week 2 of Sept.
Any input appreciated,
CP
