Carlos just called - he asked if I had really given thought to if I wanted to drive 7 hours to the beach each way for a 48 hour trip.

Seems he is now thinking that is a bit of driving for the time.

I sware. I don't know what to do.

It isn't like we have more than that - we only have two nights with no kids.

It isn't like he can take off work for more than that with all that is going on right now.

If we stay here - our babysitting will go away. Mom might keep them one night with us here - but she picks them up at 4, drops them off at 9am - so that isn't enough time to really do anything.

KWIM?

The thing that gets me is there isn't really that much to do that doesn't involve a drive or money...

Kara...were you able to just create your own photopass account now? That sister in-law is such a ***** and she probably cant stand that she was busted! I mean the facts are the facts! Photopass said she deleted the pics!

Tina..sorry about your trip roller coaster. Maybe you should do what Tammie said and just put it away....and bring it up later. It's not like you have to pay yet right? And then there is always the Disney Visa where you can charge the trip and have 6 months interest free. Good luck with it.

Cammie....you are busy too and I hope the dentist went well. I have major dentist issues! I feel for ya!

Laura...I am the wrong person to talk to about this. I know whether it is right or wrong that I would not be able to put my dog to sleep. I have always prayed that when Chelsea's time comes that she dies on her own because no one in my house would be able to do it. It is a sign of weakness and selfishness I know but I truly believe my Mom would spend too much money on her. She already has and I don't see her stopping. I also believe though that we would never put her through cancer treatment or something of that nature since she is 13. I am crying for you though. I hate it!

Lorrie....you are right with your Mom. She probably just hates that you are right. Isn't any job better than no job and can't he keep looking while he's at this new job? I think it's funny that she says you don't want her around when usually it's the other way around, right?
I don't know what to tell you in regards to your trip because you know what all of us crazies would pick!

No ticker yet but I think Jeff is really wanting to try a cruise. I've been talking non-stop to Ellen about DCL - think Jeff is sold on it. But he wants an inside stateroom and I relaly don't want that. A) think I'll be claustrophobic, B) I'm a princess and want a balcony!!! I know, I know. But I want what I want. I guess he can always say no, right?

But I'm working him hard. May need to use my womanly wiles to persuade him....

Well, the weather is suppose to be LOVELY this weekend at the beach... and so I'm deciding to take the bird in hand.

I'm NOT going to cancel our trip - I'm going to save money like a mad woman and con him into that one too.



But I think I see so many things that could go wrong in Nov. The weather - christmas being around the bend - lack of child keepers - rain on our two days there - it is such a short trip that a couple days of rain could RUIN that trip - so I'm going with the perfect bird in hand for now.

Chloe is on the biggest high right now .. She's just got back from her Rounders competition at school and they won, came home with a Gold medal and a certificate and on thurs they are off to the finals .. yikes nail biting stuff!!

OMG! 5 1/2 hrs to clean my house today and there were two of them!!!!! She charged me $30 more for this first cleaning but let me jsut say..... WOW! She cleaned out my closet! Arranged all my shoes after she vacuumed in there - that's one place that we never remember to vacuum! She has cleaned every light fixture, windowsill, knick knack, vacuumed UNDER the furniture cushions, made all the beds neatly. Seriously. They did an AWESOME job!!! I actually feel like my houe is CLEAN right now. I think it will be more like 2-3 hrs from here on out though......... unless we really are the pigs I think we are!

Oh, and they cleaned my laundry/mud room!!!!! I was so embarassed when I realized they were in there cleaning!!!!

Okay, so I wasn't going to post about this, but it is really eating at me.

So, I don't think I've shared that while at WDW, my Mom's job got cut - so BOTH my mom and DSF are without work. He got downsized in Dec. Well - my mom wants him to make X in order for her to not have to work. He got an offer for $10K less than that.

My mom doesn't want him to do it because she'll have to work. I said he should take it - like he said - and keep looking while working. Insurance and parking are paid for by the company completely - so that can really make up for that $10K offset too.

She is mad at me for siding with him. It is frustrating. She thinks I'm telling her she has to let go of the not going back to work dream and that I just dont' want her to be like me and get to stay home.

why does this have to be so hard? I just have their best interest at heart. It is tough out there - and with news yesterday that another establishment is closing, we'll be flooded with people looking for ANYTHING.

I hate getting perceived as being mean when I'm only trying to help.

It's so hard to talk to family about these things, because we feel free to be honest, then they don't like it. I think you are right. He should take what he can get for now. Maybe she can really stay home if they just tighten up a little for awhile. I have learned to get by on less we don't have 3 incomes now, just two. Not eating out much has really helped our budget.

Wow Kara, I'm so happy for you! We pay $60 for 4 hrs of surface cleaning around here.
