Looking For Control Freaks & Worry Warts too........ Part 2

Debbie, right now we're looking at Oct 17-19. Our anniversary is the 18th so that would be ideal for us at BWI. I think we'll wait and see if we get the FL resident seasonal passes when we're there next month.... I think we'd stay at Epcot the whole time that trip though. AND it depends on the "deals" that are offered for residents.

If we book something now and later on a special is announced, can we alter our reservations to take advantage of the special???

We might actually cross paths!

Tessa said that the Brits have a half term break the 3rd week in October and then there is Columbus Day on the 13th so we were thinking of that next week. We would go to Naples again and just shoot over to WDW for probably 3 nights but not sure which 3 nights yet.

Have you seen this...

We were debating about shooting for the 1st October yellow week in WDW this time. Somewhere between the 19th and 26th

Laura I feel for you with the weather! How sucky!

Cammie...good luck with the shoes......

Tammie....the more I think about hooking up with you the more nervous I get about you going back and forth through security.....:scared:

I know - I haven't called because I've been so nervous about it -trying to decide what to do - what if something wierd happens when I'm outside of security, or the line gets so long I have to go right back through, or they are upset because I've already been through..... I don't want you to come all the way over there and not be able to visit. Darn that stupid war! We used to be able to meet people at the airport  We'll just have to keep in touch and really plan our "control freak meet" some time. Other threads have done it and had a great time! Kara said she'd buy the drinks! :rotfl:

Debbie, thanks for the link- DH is asleep now - I'm in bed with the laptop, so I'll have to listen tomorrow - first thing! :thumbsup2

I'll be so jealous if you two get to meet up - but happy for ya!
We were there in Oct before - great time to be there! I think it will be late March for us next year - our spring break time, but not everyone else yet.

WONDERFUL DAY!! 65 or so and sunny....I even got laundry done:laundy: throughout the day. The kids basically went up and down the block on their bikes all day. DD even tried 2 wheels! I think she's on her way but not quite yet. We barbequed lamb chops with salad while all along I had my LIVE365 Intercot blaring out my window. It was wonderful! Thought I'd share the good since all I usually do is ***** about the weather here!

It was snowing here today.

I know Tammie has used it before and I think she loves it.

She does! :thumbsup2 She also loves the Grey Goose Citron slush!!!!

Ok, let me ask both of you, Renee & Laura: are you planning on carrying your passporter with you everywhere? Or will you just take out the pages you need? I'm still figuring out how to travel with it

Renee - To bad about your allergies and Epcot's flower show: forgot about that. Yeah, you'll want to stay far away from that! And -- I definitely make sure I get the crocs within the coming weeks; wear them around and see how they feel. I just love my flipflops though - my feet get so hot and I really don't like to have them covered up!

I just leave my passporter in the room and refer to it before going out in the am. I have a tiny notebook if I need to jot down anything - I take that in my bag.

SO here is my anal confession. I think DS would love that river ride at AK. I've rulled it out since day one because I don't want to get soaked. Am I a bad mommy? We could just wear our crocs that day and our ponchos but I have heard so many say they still got soaked to the core. I don't like to walk around all wet.

Have fun and get wet! Wear light weight, fast drying clothes - I have a pair of capris made out of something like parachute material, and I wear those "barely there" undies - whatever you do don't were denim :scared1:

It's snowing here too. I made the mistake of wearing denim shorts on a hot day with tennis shoes to out local theme park and went on a ride that is like the Kahli Rapids. Can you say chaffing. :sad2:

Debbie- I saw that hopper too. Have begged DH for something like that for the girls and he keeps saying no and that we have the water one at the lake. We have the inflatable waterslide. It is so much fun.

DD has day off of school. I don't remember having this many days off when I was in school. Playdates and swimming at the Y are in my future so my "to do" list is just going to get longer and the entry closet (where everything goes when it isn't picked up) is going to get fuller.

Or I sware that is how I feel. My dr is out this week. The one who knows my history and would give me a strong enough med to kick this stuff out. YEAH, my luck. Seeing a new dr. :scared1: My ear has progressed to burning. I am generally pretty passive with the drs, but today. Give me meds or I'm not leaving. I flew once with this stuff and I'll not do that again if I can help it! DS - same, DD - same (slept 2 hours last night). :surfweb: I need strong coffee. Too bad all I can have is decaf!:rotfl2:

Sometimes for people like us the less we know is better............
Oh that is so true with me. My OB/GYN once threatened to take my computer away while I was on bedrest. :rotfl2: I was "ordered" to stop looking *(%# up! :lmao:

I always get something in my head I "have to have" and this is my latest.............
$368.00 @ Walmart.com but it says it's sold out! I am going to do a search!
I'm so glad it isn't just me. I'm addicted to buying things I think.

You WILL get wet! I always keep a big black garbage bag in my bag so I can dump the bag, shoes (if not wearing crocs!), camera, etc, into the garbage bag, put my poncho on, and coming out all dry and comfy!!!!!
Honey, you're preachin to the choir!!!!!! My neighbor stopped by today and I was horrified that she might want to come in and see my disgusting kitchen! But first she'd have to step over the 6 pairs of shoes in the foyer, and make her way through the family room with blankets and couch pillows all over the floor, plus the newspaper scattered all over the place, and about a zillion empty glasses on the end tables!!!! Aarrgghh!!!!! :scared1:

Then I went to Target to get hamburger buns. Think that's all I got???? :rotfl2: !!
I plan on taking a zip lock for the camera. I will take a tash bag and ponchos too. I'm sure DS will want to ride.
You understand me so well. There is nothing that turns my stomach faster than the door bell. Our layout of our home is such that you come in and there is everything, the kitchen is fully visable from the family room :headache: for all the dirty dishes, and crap the kids pitch on the floor, everything out in plain view. And on very special occassions DS loves to play dress up in THE FAMILY ROOM with all our clothes (because Mommy needs something else to do like rewash clothes) INCLUDING MY UNDERWEAR! Gotta love those neighbors popping by then! :lmao:

More news on "Plan DVC." !!!!
Sounds like your plot is coming along well. "Excellent...." as Mr. Burns would say. :lmao:

I GUESS I should do the new dr. the courtesy of showering before my appt. :lmao: so I must go. I will check in later today. On an upside I have 1 hour with no kids to do my appt :woohoo: No body crying, clinging to me, wiping their nose on me - and they wonder why I always seem in such a good mood when I am there sick! :confused3 :rotfl2:

Oh, and Debbie, I nominate Kara to get the first head wack from you on our trip if she puts up one more ticker!!! I'm going for my first time and she goes every flippin month. I just may have to move to Orlando after all to keep up with her tickers!

Kara said she'd buy the drinks! :rotfl: [/I]

She did? Wow, that Kara sounds like a great gal!!! But I heard she was trying to get DH to buy a DVC - if that's the case, she'll be lucky to buy HERSELF a drink cause she'll be getting DH all liquored up on a regular basis!!! :rotfl2:

I don't remember having this many days off when I was in school. Playdates and swimming at the Y are in my future so my "to do" list is just going to get longer and the entry closet (where everything goes when it isn't picked up) is going to get fuller.

You're right - we never had this much time off school. My DD not only got her week for spring break, but she got the Friday before for a "teacher work day." WTH????? It's always something, in addition to the regular holidays.

Sounds like your plot is coming along well. "Excellent...." as Mr. Burns would say. :lmao:

Love it!!!!

WAIT!!!! DH put me up to it - he wanted to see if anyone would notice the new ticker!!! :lmao: I forgot about it because it doesn't show on my screen for some reason...

Been on the phone with Dell all morning - just hung up and then realized my internet is all screwed up now! This is the 3rd time that I've lost everything and I have to sit on the phone with them for over an hour each time..... I told them that DELL needs to pay for someone to come to my house and get everything up and running. I'm sooo tired of this and about ready to lose it with this dude on the phone!!!!!!

AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!

Don't feel bad. I cOMPLETELY understand. It's too scary to try these days. Plus a 2 hour lay away might not even end up being that long in the grand scheme of things.

Renee...I feel so..... bad for you!! OMG I would be so upset. I hope your cleanly showered body gets some good meds! At least you still have a good week to feel better!

Laura & Tammie I can't believe you are still dealing with snow. I would be crying!

Kara....you obviously don't watch those reality shows where people DO get kicked off....... :rotfl2:

The weather ticker....
The WDW three tickers....
The talk of pool boys and silly drinks....

You might be in trouble girl!!!!!

If I was you I would stress the scary animals (ie alligators, snakes, etc), go back to the dog poop stories and throw in a storm or two and you might be able to go back under the radar...:rotfl2:

No Kara you didn't offer to buy the drinks we are just going to put them on your tab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl2:

Good morning girls - just a quick stop. I've got the Monday morning blues so therefore I'm very cranky! Too much to get into right now. (I've already taken one of my "make me don't care so much" pills!)

Anyway, no snow here but still very cold. So sick of wearing sweaters, socks, and boots. I want my warm weather clothes! Oh well, at least the sun's out today.

Renee - I feel so bad for you too! I would chain myself to the doctor's chair until he gives you something to help clear up whatever you're dealing with. Explain that you need to be healthy before this trip - you're going solo with your young child - you need to be up and running! Good luck!

Kara - Keeping my fingers crossed for the DVC. But why the switch to BCV? I was looking forward to having you join my BW snob club!:snooty:

Well, I'm off to run errands; then have to drive into Boston to pick up daughter from school today - her nurse is on vacation and no one else could ride the van with her. Mom's taxi service to the rescue!

OK, I win now - we have decided on Wednesday or Thurs to put Bella down. I just walked into the family room and she's just laying in the middle of the floor, probably too tired or hurts too much to make it into our bedroom. I called DH in tears. He can't go with me today or tomorrow so we're going to call the vet and schedule her for Wed or Thurs afternoon as long as my neighbor can watch Ally while we're gone. I'll just send her straight there from school so we can tell her that Bella just died during the day. I'm a basket case right now just thinking about it! I've never had to "plan" this before, it's always just happened while we were at the vet for something.

So please don't kick me off yet! :sad2: I need you guys!

No Kara you didn't offer to buy the drinks we are just going to put them on your tab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

Because I want to stay in a "deluxe" like Debbie!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh, I needed a couple good laughs today. I totally screamed like a maniac at the poor guy at Dell! At least they got me up and running FINALLY. We'll see how long it lasts this time.

Then I go out and Bella had an accident by the back door (at least she made it that far) and Bucky has chewed his new Ohio State collar completely off! I have no idea how he managed that, but I'm so mad because that wasn't exactly easy to get down here in Florida!

Wait, my Monday gets even better. While Dell was working on my work computer, I fired up our laptop to get Live365 going, and the first thing that popped up was the most horrible porno site!!!! I can only imagine if DD would have logged on instead of me to play on Webkinz or Barbie.com. :scared1: I started crying when I saw it, just thinking about how traumatized she would have been - I mean it was full fledged porno! So I called DH and yelled at him, even though I knew it wasn't him - something just snuck in there. But I needed to yell at someone, right?

It's gonna be a very sucky week I can tell already. :sad2: Hey, at least I can listen to Live and think of Erin and Tessa there!

Jillian, where are you??? We want a trip report!!!! :yay:

I am truely sorry for what you are going through with Bella, Kara. I always pray that when it's our puppys time she goes in her sleep. What you have to do is just so painful:guilty: and OF COURSE we would NEVER kick you off our thread!!! We need you!

BTW Our puppys birthday is today and she turns 12. She has been doing OK since the diabetes diagnosis. We will see.....

Just called WDW and the GF MK view is supposedly gone for the nights we were checking on! (October 19th, 20th and 21st). Doesn't that sound crazy?

No codes attached to any of our family either!:sad2:

"you know it is going to hurt like h*** when you fly don't you." I sware, I wanted to go "DUH! Why do you think I am in here!" My dr. had the NERVE to have a baby :lmao: so I had to see his partner, who ended up being pretty cool. He kept shaking his head and saying it wasn't going to be a nice flight. Turns up no infection. Just a swollen tube causing everything to fill the right side of my head. I'm SO LUCKY! He suggested a catscan when I get back to make sure my sinus cavity doesn't have some abnormailty that could be surgically corrected and put an end to all this. If not, then they will move on to allergy testing - which I almost would rather do this first. I am allergic to a few things I know - adhesive, strawberries, and onions. Go figure. And when I say adhesive I mean bandaids, med tape, that stuff. Isn't that crazy? SO, my vote is that I am finally going to have to do that drawn out allergy test, and go on the injections. :sad2: I've put this off, but I finally give. I just want to feel good.

As far as flying, he gave me Nasacort, said to keep on with all other meds (ZyrtecD, Musinex, Ibuprophin and Afrin for the flight). He kept stressing to pop sudafed and afrin 1 hour before we take off. Nothing like seeing a dr get so worked up to make you SUPER EXCITED about that flight! :woohoo: Especially since I hate to fly anyway.

Kara - sorry to hear about Bella, but you have to put yourself in her shoes. Look at her quality of life and think about that. It was really hard for me to see it at the moment, but when I looked back at my dogs photos 5 years before her illness, and then of her that last year, it was amazing how much "quality" of her life was lost. She couldn't run and chase things without being out of breath - heck, she couldn't even breath well at the end, but it was so hard for me to see that at that time. I will be thinking of you. I know it won't be an easy thing.

DS has decided what he wants for his bday. A DOG named CHARLIE! :scared1: :scared1: I told him to talk to his Dad about that one. We haven't had a dog in about a year and a half now, and not to sound hard but after dealing with cardiac problems for 5 years and spending $500 a month on meds not counting the visits and the worry - I don't think I am ready for that one again. I like picking up and going. I had her for 10 years and I never boarded her once. She either went with us or we didn't go -and we didn't go a lot.

I think I have my park plans all worked out! I'm excited about that. Just a couple more notes to add and that is it. I still have to pack our bags, but not too much.

Beautiful day here today, and finally looked like I would get the girl's outside portrait done. :headache: Of course, she has that red nose, puffy eye, and snot streaming constantly so I called and rescheduled AGAIN. This is the third time. We will try again the end of next week. :sad2:

Debbie - loved your post to Kara about getting back under the radar. Made me laugh - I needed that today.:dance3:

Off to clean up my ADRs. I need to drop that 9:40Tusker. Call me silly, but it makes me so nervous for them to do any deleting. I just wish we could log in and do it online ourselves.

OK, this is how bad today is, I just started crying as I listened to Promise - Epcot on Live!!!! :sad2:

To top it all off, my old company is giving me fits again. Luckily, my new boss (remember, we are the CUSTOMER of my old company) is very supportive and he can see right through these nasty girls who took my place at my old company. It's ugly right now though. And I feel like if I make a big deal out of it, then I am just as bad. Supposedley they are saying that it's "sour grapes" with me. How could that be? I'm the one who left on good terms only because I moved. My boss CRIED on my last day!!!! I think the sour grapes are on the part of the gals who know that they have to live up to what I did when I was there (not trying to toot my own horn, but it is what it is, ya know?).

What else can go ..... no I'm not even gonna finish that question!!!!!

Oh, and Kara - if you need the Ohio State hookup let me know. My SIL works for Ohio State.

I had allergy testing done YEARS ago and may have to do it again. It's a pain at first, but let me just say that I started out getting three shots a week (one for trees, one for grasses, and one for "individual allergies" i.e. mold, dander, etc), and after about 6 months I was down to 1 every other week or something like that. I made a world of difference.

Bella doesn't wear shoes. :confused3

WE made the same mistake with Bella and never boarded her until last month when we went to Disney. I said I would never make that mistake again. Bucky will not be the travelin dog that Bella was. There were just too many times that we almost didn't get to do something because we couldn't figure out what to do with the dog, and we were afraid to board her because she was too old to start. So even when we go back to SC for a weekend, Buck will go to the kennel at the vet's office. Maybe not every time, but at least one or two times a year, just so he knows what's going on.

Yeah, that Debbie, she's a laugh a minute. Just kidding! :rotfl2: It's hard to get sarcasm across on a message board!

You never mention your SIL and Ohio State! Wow, you just moved up a notch in my book! Maybe now I won't make as much fun of your 19 ADRs (since you cut back!) - nah, it's too much fun! :rotfl:
