And yep, I am soooo excited about our trip, just cannot wait - but am starting to stress about the tickets - 11 days and the travel agent doesn't have them yet...... but last time we didn't get them till 6 days out, so am holding on to that thought for now....... As a complete control freak I am definitely NOT in a good place right now, stress hormones are running wild!!

Cheers,
Tessa

Oh poor you .. sounds like you're having a very horrid day .. i am sure the ticks will all arrive in time, i know is hard when you're a planner but they will am sure ... i'm a planner but not a worrier, can you tell!!!
And as for the garage gggrrr is all i have to say to them , don't they just drive you absolutely crazy

Just keep thinking "Disney, Disney, Disney" and soon you will be there

I am the meanest Mom on earth, worst wife and a horrible daughter............

But you are a GREAT friend and a WONDERFUL DISer!:flower3:
Hope today is a better day!

we had those as kids but it was a piece of white bread with a fried egg in the middle.

We called those one-eyed Jacks! (who comes up with these names?):confused3

I didn't make this one - DDIL's grandma did. But it is so good! Tastes like what you described - only the dressing has a little "kick" to it - maybe a little dill?? I'm not sure - really good - onions, grapes, bacon

Sounds like almost the same one - of course, I substitue shredded cheddar cheese for the grapes. God forbid, I keep the salad healthy!

Sorry - I've calmed down now... enraged and tearful at the same time was not good .....

Hey, that's what we're here for! That stinks about the car! Why can't we just coast into our vacation with no worries? Maybe life throws us these last-minute problems so we appreciate our vacation that much more!

Like Erin said, think Disney, Disney, Disney!

What is it with this board - first mum's then kids ill, then dogs, now cars.....(cue X-files music.....do dee do do, do dee do do)

Very freaky! I hope we all don't start PMSing at the same time!:scared:

Jillian - I can't believe you're less than a week away from Disney! How's the packing? Is the baby getting excited about seeing Mickey?

Ooh Cammie it is cold where you are minus 3  wrap up warm if ya have to go out

I know - it's quite chilly this morning! And the forecast is calling for snow this weekend!:scared1: Figures - I just put the shovels and snow salt away; should have known I was jinxing myself.

Can I say, again, how jealous I am that you'll be in Disney soon?

Oh i know i am not loving the cold at all .. enough is enough already where is the spring???:confused3

Oh i know i am sooooooo excited 11 days :yay: can't believe it's nearly here ... and i am still planning away

Although in 4 weeks time i will then be jealous of yours as i will be home and yours won't be long

Yes, but then it will be time to start planning your NEXT trip!:thumbsup2

Let's face it - none of us are truly happy unless we're in Disneyworld!:cloud9:

Oh yes how true that is ... in fact i have a Disneyland Paris trip 3 weeks after back from WDW although not staying onsite ... and am already planning next trip to WDW unfortunately not till 2010  takes me that long to save pennies, my DD has always wanted to go for her b'day and we've never made it so fingers crossed for February 2010

What is it with this site??? Every time I tell myself I'll just check in and read a few posts...... next think you know I've multi-quoted a bazillion people as you can see below! But everyone seems so similar on this thread, that I can relate to nearly every post!!!!

First of all, Debbie, BREATHE!!!!!!! You are a great wife and mother, I'm sure. We just have those days. And like someone said (Laura?) it must be the day because everyone seemed out of control yesterday. But today is a new day, it's warming up outside just a bit (little by little!), and, hey, you've got us! :grouphug:

Do I want a banana or a banana-flavored jellybean?

Now where is the tag fairy when you need him/her??? :rotfl2:

Kara - I just finished some leftover ham for dinner!

OK, y'all have to hear what DH made for dinner! I wanted ham sandwiches, but when he stopped off at the store, he forgot lettuce, tomatoe, all the fixins. So he grilled ham and swiss sandwiches, then topped with sliced apples and dijon mustard!!!! So yummy!!!!!!!! I was very impressed.

Oh i know and we call that @Toad in the hole which should really put you off hahahhahaha

That sounds hysterical! But you know I"m gonna try it! The way I eat yorkshire pudding is more like a dinner roll, is that how they're perceived over there?

My employer hasn't blocked this site either. :rotfl: (I'm a Stay at home mom :lmao: )

Love it!!!!
Are you ready for your trip??????

Aloha! Nice to have you here today! I am trying to use the DIS for a reward when I get a certain number of "work things" done. Somehow, I keep getting distracted and peeking early. :goodvibes

Hope you enjoyed the ham sandwiches! Your "crazy" story reminded me about my DBIL working for a computer tech service company. A guy actually called and told him his "cup holder" wouldn't go back in.....he thought the CD-ROM drive was a cup holder! They are out there on the roads, ladies!

I had a CS training one time by a very funny lady. She suggested saying, "I'll have to talk to my supervisor." Put them on hold, then proceed to file your nails with your "supervisor." When you come back, they have calmed down and so have you! ;)

I quite frequently put customers on hold and then go to the bathroom or something. The owner of the company I work for basically hired me to do his dirty work. And I love it when customers want my supervisor. I tell them I'm as high as they're gonna get. Makes me feel so BIG! :lmao: Actually, the owner will not talk to them, so I guess in a way it's true. This guy yesterday was quite a piece of work. I ended up hanging up on him. I told him that he could call me back when he calmed down. Nobody needs to put up with that abuse.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR
GGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

What is it with this board - first mum's then kids ill, then dogs, now cars.....(cue X-files music.....do dee do do, do dee do do)

Tessa - I'm soooo sorry about your car! It's a shame how much we rely on the darn things, huh? Have you contacted your insurance company about the other guy's insurance paying for a rental car? Have you called Enterprise? I worked for them for years (so did DH) and I know they're in England, just don't know where exactly. If your car is driveable (even a little) and you don't have a whole lot of driving to do, maybe you can drop it off on your way to the airport and then maybe it will be ready when you get back from Disney?

Ah, yes, Disney, Disney, Disney! We all have to think that, don't we? I do hope that everyone plans on posting pics when they return????? I know that helps keep me in the mood!!!

I have so much cleaning to do today but I'm having a very sleepy morning! I had the strangest dream last night - I was on American Idol!!!! Singing (get this!) Hips Don't Lie by Shakira. What????? It was more like a nightmare! :rotfl:

I'm mostly caught up at work so I should have time to clean later, but I'm just dreading it right now!!! I really want to hire a cleaning lady but funds aren't looking good for that right now. But it's just that proverbial albatross that seems to keep me in a bad mood all the time, ya know? I got all the laundry finished yesterday, and there was a LOT to do, so that made me feel a bit better. Then I got the kitchen all picked up, meaning all the junk that doesn't belong there. So it actually looks like a kitchen now instead of a drop off zone for everything else. That makes me feel better, too. Now if I can just get past the bathrooms, and DD's room, I'll feel great!

To top it off, I'm 41 years old and have a HUGE zit on the side of my face - what's up with that??????? I thought I left those days back in junior high school?

OK, off to work now. Happy Tuesday everyone!!!!!!

Ok where to start your post cracked me up over many things :rotfl2:
Loving the dream can just imagine the terror
And i am 31 and have never stopped having spots they drive me crazy i hope my DD doesn't have my skin as she reaches those dreaded teen yrs

I will defo show you guys pics when we're back, pics keep you going till next trip hey .. and when i am back i have to plan the next 1 February 2010 for my DD's b'day so i could well be asking you major planning ladies for tips ;)

Not sure we always have yorkshire's with roast dinners covered in gravy yum yum or like i said cooked with sausages in and yes of course the gravy  ... Is that how you'd have a dinner roll?

I have just come back from a pointless interview .. as i am a single mum i have to go once a year for an interview about going back to work in which we have the same conversation EVERY single time it drives me crazy Oh well only 11 more days to go :woohoo:

Have a great day everybody

Erin - we just do dinner rolls with butter usually. I'm a bread junkie! I can eat most bread just plain! Which is why the ATkins diet would NEVER work for me! So do you eat yorkshire pudding with a fork??? It always reminds me of a popover, and I love it but I guess I'm doing it wrong? :confused3 I'm thinking of making this weekend for my in-laws while they're here and I want to do it right to impress! Help! :thumbsup2

I'm with Erin - we eat the Yorkshire Pudding with gravy and cut with a knife and fork. By cooking it in an 8x8 pan - mine doesn't come out real "bread-like". The middle pieces are dense; the edges are puffier and airy. Getting the visual?

(I can't believe we're starting another day talking about food - and I have to go to the grocery store after the gym!)

Yes thats right they should be quite light .... mmmm yum i love them but am rubbish at making them

Thank you Erin - I printed the page and I am soooo making that either this weekend, or tonight maybe!!!!! Looks so yummy! Mine seem to come out good when I make them, we were just eating them wrong! :rotfl2:

You're right, Cammie, another day starting off with food!!!! The sad part is that I made all these shirts for us to wear in Disney, right? I got my shirts a little snug because I thought I could drop a couple lbs before the trip - WRONG!!!! DH and I have both gained weight since we moved! We're going to look so sloppy in our shirts!

And I even have a gym right on property here! Our subdivision has a full fitness center, basketball court, 3 pools (including an adults only lap pool that is heated year round), tennis courts, golf course, and here I sit, happily planning what I can eat for lunch! :rotfl2: And which Klondike bar I want for dessert!

The baby is so excited to see Mickey we just ituned all of the songs from the Mickey mouse club house he has been dancing all day. :goodvibes
Packing that is another story everytime I pack Dh says I don't want that blah blah blah and I have way overpacked for DS 12 outfits for 6 days :sad2: but I just can't seem to cut back. I can't believe how much you have to pack for someone so small. We have also decked out his stroller I had a stroller sign made from the DISign board.
Love it!!!!
Are you ready for your trip??????
