Kara- I love LOVE LOVE that bathroom the shower curtain was 96.00 My DH would kill me.

You girls were busy today. I went to the doctor for my physical and I have to have a TON of testing done. An Ultrasound of my thyroid an upper GI and an Echo for my heart. I am 26 and I am falling apart. WTH not to mention the 15 blood tests he is doing :confused3

Goodnight girls!!!!

Renee...I still need to read your TR post. I want to give it my undivided attention!

Holy cow! For $96 it had better automatically wrap me up in luxury after my shower! :lmao:

I just had the whole thyroid thing done a couple of months ago - ultrasound, uptake and scan, and ct scan. All for a little muscle tissue that the dr thought was a "nodule." Plus all the blood tests! Good luck and keep us posted!

Well, ladies, DD is off to school but I have a feeling I'll be getting a call from the school nurse before the end of the day. We gave her some cough/cold medicine, plus tylenol, so hopefully she'll be okay. She has had perfect attendance since she started school (with the exception of one day when we were house hunting so I don't count that since it wasn't her fault), and she's missing a week for Disney. I would love for her to not have to miss that week. Wait! Did I really just say that? It's Disney! What am I saying????

Yesterday I made a ton of those nuggets and wrapped in the characters, and then the thank you mints to hand out. DH is like "who are you going to give those to?" I told him bus drivers, CMs, whoever the h*** I WANT to give them to!!!!!

Off to work for awhile..... Have a great Thursday everyone!!!

Good morning all! I'm stuck home today because my car is in the shop. So I could catch up on laundry and bill paying OR I can play on the Disboards -- hmmmm......what to do?:rolleyes1

cammie- I invited Tina she is just like us you should see the beautiful dress she made her DD.

I'm confused.:confused3 Who's Tina and where did you invite her?

I hope your tests come out ok.:flower3:

Yesterday I made a ton of those nuggets and wrapped in the characters, and then the thank you mints to hand out. DH is like "who are you going to give those to?" I told him bus drivers, CMs, whoever the h*** I WANT to give them to!

 - Or you can use them to bribe one of the CMs to grant you the wish of staying in Cinderella's castle for the night!

Hope your DD can fight off whatever she's got going on. If not, better to be sick now, then a week from now!

Have a good day everyone!

Good morning ladies. I was going to take the kids to the Zoo today, since DS is begging to go back to Disney. Just a second ago, the stupid landscaper called and they want to come and plant our shrub that needed to be replaced.:sad2: So we are stuck at home until he comes, which will probably mean all day.

I do have an appt for 3 for a massage and pedi. SO NEED IT! :woohoo:

Kara - Sorry you missed the bopping - the little icon is cute by the way. It isn't too long until your trip now!!!! I hope DD feels better soon. Sick is no fun.

Cammie - we may be in the same boat today! I have loads of laundry... or I can play on the computer.

Debbie - too cute! The CM will love them. I wish I had something when I was there. There were some that looked like they were having less than a magical day - and some little something to make them smile would have been nice.

Jillian - Well, on a good note, I have a friend with a tyroid problem and once they figured it out, she lost a ton of weight with the meds - so that is a positive. Another thing they could be working you up if you haven't been in a while. I think they did that stuff of me the first time, and I was 27. Last year I had an echo, a CAT scan of my chest, a sonogram of my heart and all ended up being fine. I was having chest pain - after all that, I figured it out at Disney! STOMACH ULCER! Pepcid AC worked almost instantly, so I will take some prevacid for a while or something like that and see how I do.

Speaking of weight, I recalculated my points last night. I go from 38 to 24 since I'm not nursing now :scared1: I bet anything that is why I am having this weight creaping up. Today it is up even more!!! :scared1: WTH!?! I am now up 4.4 lbs. :sad2: So today, I'm getting their detailed meal plans and going to the store and if I have the same thing every day, so be it!!!!

Hey - has anyone done a "secret sister" thing? I'm a little lost with it. I know a lot of girls in college did it, but I never did. Now I have one for CKU and I'm not so sure what exactly I am to be doing. I emailed the organizer weeks ago, and she isn't giving direction :confused3

Of course DH has no food in the house, so I'm off to McDonalds this morning. D*** it, I might as well have one meal of whatever (a bacon biscuit) and a soda if I am going to gain 2 lbs today regardless!!! :rotfl2:

 - Or you can use them to bribe one of the CMs to grant you the wish of staying in Cinderella's castle for the night!

OK, they're cute, but they're not THAT cute! Although, if I catch a CM with PMS, a little chocolate just might do it!!! :rotfl2:

I'm going back through tons of Disney pics and printing for my room! I think I'm going to start hanging shelves today and framing some of these pics. Just wish I could figure out what to do for the curtains!

Oopsie - looks like it was Kara so crafty. I did see the dream squad 3 times. Each time, they had a LARGE family - like 8 or more. Maybe they look for the bigger groups for the Castle things :confused3. But it won't hurt to suck up just in case!!! puckerup: Maybe you will win a nights stay at the castle - with DMIL :lmao:

Okay, if you don't mind me asking, how much does JC cost? I've always not really looked at it because of the $$ I think it owuld cost, but I'm starting to think that would be so much easier.

DH and I were actually laughing about this, saying if we won a night in the castle, DFIL would ask for his night in POP to be refunded since we weren't staying there that night! :rotfl2:

As for JC.... when I joined, it was $400 for 2 years AND if you are within 1% of your goal weight at the end of the two years they refund 1/2 of it. There were other options available at that time, too. And they run special all the time, like 6 weeks for $36, etc. The cost of the food varies. It used to run me anywhere from $75-100/week, but that is breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack each day. Then you supply your own veggies, fruit, salad, yogurt. I think that's it. I justified it as roughly $15/day on the high end (and you can choose the cheaper foods, too to save $$$). But in my case, I was eating $5-6/day on fast food, $1/day vending machine, $3/day latte in the morning 3-4 days/week, plus the 1-2 days of McD's for breakfast, another $2/day. Plus, we were eating out twice a week and we cut that out completely for about a month or two while I was getting started with JC. All in all, I think I maybe spent about $20/week more than I would have normally. Trust me, Renee, if you follow the plan, you do feel full, you absolutely do lose weight, and you do relearn how to eat right. It's all about learning smart choices, portion control, and the food is really very good! For instance, I might make a roast for my family, and I would eat the same thing from JC. After cooking, I would always put my food on a plate so it really felt like I was eating the same as my family! Yesterday I had lasagna, and it was awesome!

You can PM me if you have any questions. Just check out JC to see if they have any specials. Oh, the other thing I like is there are no meetings. You meet one on one with your JC counselor for 20 minutes/week to weigh in, get help and advice, and get your food. DH didn't like the thought of me paying for it, but when he saw the results, and how empowered it made me feel, he was all for it! And I was eating meals on my own by the 5th week, and after 2 months, I was only spending about $50-60/week on JC foods.

Hi Ladies,
It's Mom's birthday so we have a busy day. DD has a "hands-on" art experience at her school today, craft class, I have to pick up some last minute food things for dinner tonight, get everything ready for the barbeque and the celebrate. Probably won't be back today but I will try!

Magicfor2 (Tammie) How's it going with the pix!
DizzyErin(Erin) &
tttessa (tessa) should be back with us soon. They are going to be so bummed to be home!
Lovin Life ( Pam2)Hope work gives you a shorter day today! How's your brother's baby doing?
Camster0307Isn't nice to have the dis when you are trapped! I could easily spend all day on the computer putzing around without leaving!
soontobewed07 (Jillian)I remember that the hardest time for me to lose weight was while I was nursing. I swear my body was like you still need this bulk!:rotfl2: It really went a lot better afterwards but I wrote down everything I was eating and was measuring everything:sad2: . It was so annoying that I think I am better now about keeping my weight off because I don't want to do it again! I weigh myself EVERY day so that the minute I see it creep up I jump back on the bandwagon so it doesn't keep going up. Easier said then done, right! I think I have been dieting since I was 12!
karajebo0 (Kara)LOVE your candy! You are so good! I saw those too when I was surfing the design boards. Kari (Rumbley made me some great designs)! Maybe I will post them later. She said she didn't want money so I felt bad. She is so FUNNY with her Grins for the day thread. I love it! I made a shirt for DD last night to wear today that says...Grandma's BFF!
Anyone have ideas for the cheapest place to get plain shirts and tanks???
UsNew2Disney2008(Renee) LOVE the TR! Comments to follow...THANK YOU very much for sharing!!!!!
Pix???
Sorry about the zoo. That would have been fun!
Sewer Pbharris (Pam )DisneyOhana (Lisa) Ahibird (keahi)
Hope you guys are still out there lurking and everything is OK.

Gotta run but will see you guys later...
BTW I have been dreaming of a night in the castle before it ever was even a possibilty. It is my ULTIMATE dream!!!!!

Debbie behave herself?? That would not be fun at all!

Kara - Cute candy wrappers! What a special touch for a trip! I bet everyone will be so appreciative! A little surprise like that will make many people's days! They may be castle worthy...We never saw the Dream Team while we were there in Nov. I think I am just oblivious to things like that and am too wrapped up in what we are doing to notice. I would have loved to see someone presented w/a gift.

I think of the times I've sent my girls to school w/meds in them so that hopefully they would make it thru the day. The schools want them to stay home 24 hrs. after the last fevor or vomiting (where's the smiley?!). Like everyone is going to/can afford to do that. It's tough.

A massage and pedi sound heavenly!:cloud9: I hate weekday AMs! I am a morning person, and the other 3 that I live with are not! I would say that I am frantic 4 out of 5. I wish I could stay home.:sad2:

Jillian - Good luck w/all of your tests. It's awful to be poked and prodded and have all of those hospital bills. I hope that everything is OK.

I despise bills and laundry (and sweeping and vacuuming and dusting and organizing...). The list can go on and on...

I am off to lunch, my 4th huge meal this week, that will most likely include dessert. I am feeling bad about it...:rotfl:

Have a great day, all! Have fun!

:grouphug:
Pam

Pam - yes, I haven't had a massage in a long time. DSIL knows I don't generally do stuff for myself - everything is for the kids. I opened my mail box a couple weeks ago and found a letter from a really nice spa. I almost pitched it thinking it was a sale ad - thankfully I opened it and it was a card that said I had a certificate for a hour massage and a spa pedicure, with love from my SIL. :cloud9: She made my day to say the least, heck - probably my month!

I begged my mom to watch them today for 2 hours so I can get over to do it. I'm so looking forward to that. I've never had two services on the same visit.

Renee

Renee - what a nice gift! What was the ocassion? My SIL would never even consider something like that! It's all about her, her her!

I figured out what to do with that window - now I just need to get fabric, and have DH cut the board to make the cornice. I love this! I feel so inspired right now, but a little overwhelmed. I printed a butt load of pics this morning and got most of them matted and framed. Still need to pick up a few more frames and fabric tonight. Then hopefully tomorrow get it mostly done, except for the window. I'll have to get to that this weekend. Don't know if DH has even found his circular saw since we moved!

Jenny Craig tonight - wish me luck!

OMG!!! I just got a call from my realtor - we have an offer coming in on our house in SC this afternoon! :cool1: Say a prayer that it is a decent offer (doesn't even have to be "good" at this point!). The market is so sucky right now that we'll take just about anything to be done with it!!!!!

Check at Walgreens. I was surprised to see that they are carrying clothes now. Also our grocery store had some the other day. Just keep your eyes open and you maybe surprised. One more place is Joann/Micheal's. Watch your paper for the 50% off coupon and then you can pick up shirts at a steal.

  I doing the happy dance that the offer is acceptable and that you guys get out of it okay.

You so inspired me to think about the window treatments in my living room. After 9 yrs of being in this house I convinced DH to replace the carpet and paint the living room. I took down her 80's style lacy fluffy curtains only to be completely stumped as to what to hang up. I wander thru Joann periodically looking for fabric and nothing has done it for me. Now that you started talking about your windows I am heading to the various fabric outlets to see what they have. I have gotten great deals before. Granted I never do anything with the fabric but they still are great deals. I'll have to convince DMom to help me sew them. :rolleyes1

It's going to rain today. Yuck! at least we got a few nice days out of the week. I HAVE to go to the Y today. I have lost my motivation. I just can't seem to get back on track. I'm trying to do this without WW or JC or whatever. Our ins. pays us $40/month towards membership IF we hit 12 times. so at least that is a motivator. I just eat too much and too much when I am running around (mcD, BK, ect...) I got new clothes for WDW so I know they fit but I will try harder once we get back. I just want my muffin top to go away.

Jillian- keeping my fingers crossed. If it is you thryroid, you'll be surprised once they get you on meds. My mom's is hypo and she put on a ton of weight before she could figure out what it was. Then after meds the weight came off effortlessly. It's funny how those things work. Anyway keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Renee

:cheer2: Yea! Good for you!! I, like Kara, have the SIL from h#$&!! :scared1: I have one :cutie: SIL and one  SIL. We just try to ingnore the meanie and pretend that she doesn't exist. It just sounds awesome today!! DD's cousin owns a massage therapy place, but it isn't very close to us and I don't go that often. I sometimes get them for gifts for Christmas from people I work with, and from my MIL, or sometimes I go to a massage school close to our house. It is an intern at a reduced rate, but I can get them more often. :cloud9: Have a blast, Renee! Feel pampered!:flower3:

Enjoy the time that your mom keeps your kiddo!! My MIL is dying for us to let her keep the girls for a weekend. I am so ready...:yay:

We are going to get rainstorms today, too. It is very windy, and I had to eat outside at lunch because it was too crowded inside. I am a scary sight! I just hope it's not the kind of storms w/hail and tornados...need to check the weather.

Pam, we're supposed to hit 88 on Monday! :scared1: That's getting a little too warm too early. Yes, we will be the laughing stock this summer!!!! Did you say you were outside Dallas?

Kara - pixiedust: for you on the sale of your house! It is such a terrible time to be selling right now. Keeping fingers crossed for you!

Debbie - My niece is wonderful!! She is almost 3 months old, and she is getting to be so much fun! She is smiling and cooing, and we are enjoying having a baby around. On my side, my two girls were the only grandchildren until she came. On DH's side, there are 5 grandchildren. His sister is the B. My brother's wife is very nice! My sister is divorced and never had children. I keep hoping that she meets someone and has kids, but I am not sure that is what she wants. She says she doesn't, but sometimes I wonder. I just want her to be happy! I wouldn't trade my bunch for anything (on most days!), but sometimes my sis will talk about just lounging by herself for the weekend, and it just sounds so wonderful. She has to be lonely though, and it makes me sad. I wish that she lived closer so she could hang w/us more (but we would drive her crazy!).

How was your mom's bday??

80F Sat and 85F Mon. I can't stand the hot weather. It gets too hot here. It is too miserable to step outside the A/C house or car when it gets like that. I would move, but DH was born here and will die here. He wouldn't move for anything. We are right outside of Dallas, really close to the Dallas/Ft. Worth airport. It takes us about 10 mins, from leaving the driveway to pulling up the airport. It took us awhile to get used to the planes flying overhead, but right after 9-11, when planes weren't flying, it was so strangely quiet. I remember when the first plane flew over after that, I was in a grocery parking lot and people just stopped, looked up and clapped. Visitors think the airplanes are loud, but we are used to it.

I also remember when the planes were grounded. DH and I were sitting on our back porch commenting on how strangely quiet it was, and no contrails in the sky either. I still get emotional when I see shows about that day. :sad2:

I'm not sure how I'm going to take the heat with this being my first summer in Florida. DH was here all last summer and keeps saying, "just wait...." and then he laughs. SC summers were hot and humid, but I think I'm in for a rude awakening in Florida!!!!! Like they say, it's not the heat, it's the darn humidity!!!!
