Sorry you girls didn't get sleep. That is the worst!!
Laura glad DHs back is better too.

I just love Live365. This MK loop is awesome!!! Now all I need to do is plug in an air freshener and it will be like I am there early!

The weather here is nasty. EVERYONE is flooding. It really sucks. We have to go to a party tonight tonight to boot.

I would so rather be home packing and cleaning...OK just the packing part!

Got the garage so purty!!! Both cars are in there now, plus the golf cart, with room to spare!!! AND, the best part of the day....

Finally!!!! She wanted to practice balancing, so I told her to just try to ride down the driveway, I gave one little push and she went all the way. So Jeff stopped what he was doing (which, knowing Jeff was probably standing in the garage with his hands on his hips while I got it organized! :rotfl2: ), and told her she was gonna learn today. I took her out in the street and off she went! As you can tell we don't have many neighbors so I think in the 1/2 hour she was riding, no cars even came by!

Jeff is out getting gas for the grill, now that it's all hooked up, we have to grill out EVERY night! I don't mind though, it's less clean up for me! :)

Renee - I'm wearing my Buckeye necklace today!!!! :thumbsup2 I'm not feeling too good about this game though.... :sad2:

Jillian and Laura - so sorry the kiddos were up last night!

Pam - Oh, if she needs her tonsils out just beware of the bad breath!!! That was the worst thing when Ally got hers out! And of course, the older they are, the slower to heal, and seems to be more painful. I know, I'm making you feel so much better, huh? :lmao:

Debbie - Cammie was right - it was like reading pig Latin!!! Are you packed yet??? Ready to roll?

Well, Jeff just came in and I need to help him! I'll check in later tonight - he's going to bed early cause he's going deep sea fishing tomorrow so he has to leave the house at 4:15am!!! :scared1:

Feeling you pain jillian--katherine was up for a good portion of the night. We are getting 2 yr old molars. Yuck!

Tim's back is SOOO much better. He can feel his foot again. I think the shot may be working. They say full effects will come in 2 weeks. I'm just happy for any little bit

This makes me remember the days when Luca was a newborn and I could barely wake Mike up to help out. I am sorry Katherine is getting her Molars Ouch I think we are doing some teething here too as we are biting ALOT. I am glad Tim is better.

Kara- Woo Hoo for Ally that is such a hard task for them. Good for you on the garage. I haven't done anything we went over to my mother's house and just hung out for a bit. I did clean the kitchen.

Karajeboo - Way to go Ally!!!:cheer2: My DD6 is trying to ride her bike, but she's having second thoughts about it.

Have to ell you guys about my mil's psychic reading she had today. My fil died 2 years ago and she's wanted to go to a psychic to talk to him ever since. So she had an awesome reading - my fil walked in with my mil - per the psychic. So he tells them that there's an Alan or an Ellen in their lives and that my fil sends her his prayers. That something is going to happen, but he says it will be okay, she'll be alright. So hello - my mom's name is Allyn! I'm think it could either be my dad, who is golfing down the Cape or my grandmother who has dementia. We're so freaked about it, because her name isn't a common name that someone would know and this was my mil, so no connection at all. I've read with this woman, but she didn't know this was my mil. So freaky.

Alright I have to go. have a good saturday night everyone.

Tina - just try to be patient with DD - Ally was TERRIFIED of falling so she didn't ride for months! And then today while we were cleaning the garage she wanted to practice "balancing." Well I gave her a push and she rode to the end of the driveway. That's all it took Jeff to go and work with her and she's riding now. We took our first family bike ride tonight. Just around the block but it did a lot for Ally's confidence. She came home and called Grandma and Grandpa and then Nana and PapPap. She was so proud!

Laura - so happy that Tim is feeling better - now hopefully you can get some help with the kids. I know that is so tough, and such a sore spot.

Jeff is in for a rude awakening tomorrow when he comes home from fishing. I'm dumping all his clothes in a garbage bag tomorrow. He has had clean clothes piled in the floor for three weeks!!! I've had it! I told him he can only go fishing if he gets his clothes cleaned up. Well, he just went to bed, and I have added 3 loads of folded clothes to his pile. If it's not done when I go in there, I'm packing them up. Enough is enough! Seriously, how can he reprimand Ally for not putting away her clothes, when his have been in the floor for that long???

He made beer can chicken tonight with a whole chicken. Right before he went to bed I asked him if he was going to cut it up and put it away. Of course he got mad at ME. Now how is this my fault? He knows I don't do that. We've been married for 11 years, and lived together for 3 years before that. All told,we've been together for 15 years. He knows I don't cook. So I don't know how to cut up a whole chicken. Not my fault he planned a fishing trip tomorrow and has to get up at 4am.

He was just pissed cause Ohio State is getting embarassed right now. I'm so mad! I had to send Ally to bed so she didn't hear us cursing! They just can't win the big game! Went to the national championship 3 out of 6 years, won once and got killed twice. This was #5 OSU vs #1 Southern Cal and it's embarassing! I'm a HUGE Buckeye fan, and this is killing me! I'll stay up until the final play, regardless of the score.

Oh, did I mention that Jeff wants to change our ADRs? Yeah, we're leaving in 4 days and he wants to make changes. Idiot! We might try Biergarten instead of Raglan Road the day we get there. I'll call tomorrow and see if I can get an ADR there. I think he just wants to go straight to Epcot the day we arrive. He won't admit it, but he's getting excited. Every time we sit down alone, he says, "OK, so we're eating where?" Or "So what parks do you want to visit?"

And I think the starter is going out on my car. When I start it now, there's a click-click noise before it turns over. So we're gonna drop it off to get checked off as we leave town on Wednesday. Plus, the fan on my a/c is acting up. And if we're planning on driving to Ohio for Christmas, I want the car to be reliable.

I talked to my boss and he's gonna route my calls to my sister's house 2 days while we're in Ohio, which will allow me to plan a longer trip. Ally and I are gonna leave the weekend before Christmas, with Bucky, and then Jeff is gonna fly up on Christmas eve morning to meet us. Then he'll drive back with us. Ally, Bucky and I will take two days to drive up, probably 8 hours the first day, then 5 the second. She travels so well, that I don't mind traveling without Jeff. In fact, when Ally was 9 months old, she and I made the 8 hr trip from SC to Ohio and I had no problems. I actually enjoy our time alone.

Come to think of it, I should look into one way airfare for Jeff and get my hotel ressies made for our trip. My parents are so excited that they've called me like 5 times since I told them yesterday. I was worried that I couldn't get off work, since winter is our very busy time!

I am in heaven! I know I am! Since our band activities were cancelled tonight, and we didn't get the bad weather from Ike (thank goodness!), we were home this evening again! I was going to take a nap so that I could stay up late. Michael Phelps is hosting SNL. Instead, I decided to do a pampering night - a long soak in the tub, facial, colored my hair, and now I am sitting her soaking my feet in the foot bath w/massage, bubbles and heat, with a deep conditioner and shower cap on my head! I have a cup of hot tea and a glass of iced tea beside me, and I just finished a small cup of coffee w/a brownie. I am DISing, and getting ready to finish a book I've been reading. Taylor spent the night at our neighbor friends' house, Megan is doing homework and we are going to look at homecoming dresses online later. To top it all off, Darrin even started folding laundry on the couch while I am sitting in what he thinks is HIS recliner while I am doing all of this!:rotfl2: Couldn't be any better than this! I just had to share!:dance3:

Pam, did you say Darren is folding laundry???
1.gif

You saw what's gonna happen to Jeff's laundry! :rotfl2:

I'm sleeping in the guest room tonight, cause I don't want to wake up at 4am when his alarm goes off! When Ally heard this she immediately said she's sleep with me. Great! So I have an octopus in bed with me tonight! :rotfl2:

Kara - Yeah for Allie! That is so fun! I agree - where do you get all of this energy for all of the cleaning and these projects? I don't cut up chickens, either! I've gotten so lazy that I buy the canned white meat chicken from Sams for most of my recipes. It works just great for me! Especially during the week, I don't have time to cook complicated stuff. That's awesome about Christmas! How fun!! Our mall has some of their decorations up already! It's only mid Sept! I was shocked!! I love long car rides. Darrin hates them. We haven't taken many together, especially since our parents live close. That's neat that Jeff is getting excited about your trip. Are you just crazy excited? I would be!! I hope everything works out OK for you on your ADRs.

Tina - My mom and aunt did the psychic thing a couple of times, and it was really weird. She came up w/some things that I don't believe people could just pull out of anywhere, specific things about my uncle, who had just passed away. I am skeptical, but some of the things they told me really made me wonder. I was close to Darrin's grandma and a aunt of mine that passed away, and occasionally I'll just get this feeling of a strong presence of them. I like to believe that they are close and that there is an afterlife.

My dog just started barking at me because I have this silly shower cap on!:rotfl:

I just found out today that my grandma from Chicago is coming for Thanksgiving. She's 94, and the one who helped raise us after my dad died. She comes to visit once a year. The girls and I will stay a couple of days at a time at my mom's while she's here. I'm excited, and feel like a little kid.

Good night, all!

Yes! Of course it didn't last long. He got the call from our neighbor friend that his wife and kids were asleep and Darrin could come over and have a few drinks w/him and watch VH1 Classics. They usually do this every couple of weeks. At least I don't have to worry about Darrin driving home. It's only doors down from our house.

Mine are not only octopus, but they are heaters! It's fun to sleep w/them!

Kara - Sorry about your Buckeyes. Our HS team won last night! I am so glad. We're 2 and 1.

Megan just got moody on me and is trying to go to bed w/out looking at dresses. I need to rescue her. Gotta run!

Good night Pam!

Sound fun looking for prom dresses - does she have a boyfriend??? I look forward to that, not that I want to rush Ally's childhood!!! So I guess I look forward to it and dread it at the same time!

That's great about your grandmother! I'd be excited too!

I need to go to bed now, we're down 35-3 in the 4th qtr. Not looking good for my beloved Buckeyes! :sad2:

Hi Debbie!:hippie: How was the party?

I would so rather be home packing and cleaning...OK just the packing part!

Lucky YOU! On the packing part, not the cleaning!:rotfl2: I hate it! Wish I were packing tho!

No "real" boyfriend yet. The kids here are funny. They say they are "going out" w/a boy or girl, and they don't talk to them much outside of school, which I am grateful for. So, Megan has had a few of those over the years, but not what I would consider a boyfriend. I know it's about time. She was 15 in July, but is only a Freshman. There is a boy that she likes, but they are good friends right now. She wasn't asked to Homecoming, but the girls that don't have dates are going together, stag. I perked her up last night - boy was she moody! She was upset that I had my own "spa party" last night w/out including her. She was in her room and doing her own thing, and Taylor wasn't home, so I took advantage and took the time to myself. I didn't even know she was interested, and to be honest, I just wanted the time to myself. I don't do it very often. She was grounded, not allowed on the computer or to do anything social w/friends, at their house or our house, because of grades, so she was kind of pouty. When I went to get her from bed, she got up, we made popcorn, watched SNL, and looked online for a dress. She was fine and we had fun. After church, the luncheon, nails, grocery shopping and workout, we are going to look at dresses. I feel like I shouldn't, because she is grounded thru today, but if we don't go today, we'd have to go during the week. I am hoping we find something quickly. It's not as special as prom - it's only homecoming. It's 2 weeks from this past Friday. I don't want to wait until next weekend, or it will be hard to find something cute.

As for grades, she is a very smart girl, but just doesn't want to appy herself. She gets a couple of 100's or high 90's, then a 0 or two that just kill her grade! I just cannot figure it out! I get so angry, and we have been thru this over and over again! I told her that she will not take driver's ed as long as this keeps happening. We are going to see a family counselor at church because I just don't know how to help her with this. We try to stay on top of her constantly about her work. She either doesn't do it at all, or does it and doesn't turn it in sometimes. It makes me crazy!

I need to go to bed now, we're down 35-3 in the 4th qtr. Not looking good for my beloved Buckeyes! :sad2:

Sorry to hear this! That is frustrating.

These crazy people that I am hearing about on the news, that don't evacuate when it's mandatory in a storm -- I think they should be arrested. They just don't get it. They jeopordize the lives of the rescue workers. How rude!:snooty:

Good Morning Ladies!

Crappy night last night - stupid Buckeyes!!!!

Jeff is out fishing now, so hopefully he'll bring home a good catch. Nothing better than fresh fish!!! I think today there will be a lot of red snapper and maybe some mahi mahi. Then he freezes it in water, so it's "fresh frozen." When we thaw it out, it takes like it was caught that day!!!

Last night he wanted to use his rotisserie feature on his new grill, so he bought a whole chicken. Then the stupid rotisserie doesn't fit. Something is wrong. So he made beer can chicken instead. Funny thing is that he will NEVER use that rotisserie - so if he'd used it last night, that would be it!

Today I need to finish laundry and get us packed. I haven't even been into our bedroom to see if he put away laundry. I slept upstairs with Ally and Bucky. Sleeping like her is like sleeping in a sauna! And with Bucky in there (of course he sleeps on the bed!!!) I was hugging the edge all night. So I'll be needing a good nap this afternoon.

I'm trying to convince Jeff that we need a new bed for our bedroom - KING size this time. And then we can move our queen up to the guest room. Plus, it's a really good mattress. The guest room has a double bed with a - brace yourself - 39 year old box spring, and 22 year old mattress!!! It's AWFUL!!!! I feel terrible when we have guests!

But we don't need to buy new bedroom furniture, just a new mattress/box spring for now. I have so many plans for this house, now if only I could win the lottery I could do it all!

Our newest plan is to replace all the balusters, or "spindles" on the staircase. They are painted white now and we want wrought iron. I think it would just make this whole room "POP!" We found out we can do it ourself and they are not that expensive. Except that we have a double staircase, and the entire thing is open to the family room. So it's 87 balusters!!!!!! But I'm very excited to do this. Then we want to put hardwoods in my office, then eventually nice new office furniture. That is a way big expense though - I have "good" taste in office furniture! ;) So that will be waaaaay off in the future. I wish I had the money to hire a decorator to come and just do it all for me. That would be great!!!!

Kara - The fish sounds awesome! I hope for Jeff's sake he put up his laundry!;) Your house sounds beautiful! What day do you leave for WDW - Wednesday? Did you get everything set about where Ally is going to stay for the entire time? I need to wake up the troops for church. I am just enjoying my quiet time w/the paper, news and computer for a few more minutes first!

We leave Wednesday but we've hit a snag. Our neighbors offered to watch Ally - they have two boys, 9 and 5. Great kids! We've become good friends with this family so I feel totally secure with Ally staying there. But I told them she would only need to stay there Wed and Thurs night and then on Friday night she could stay with one of her friends that lives right around the corner. Then she'd stay there all day Saturday until we got home. Well, this family is totally avoiding my phone calls now! They agreed to watch her, but I can't get ahold of them.

So last night when we went for a bike ride we rode by their house. All the lights were on and I called them as soon as we got home. They didn't answer and still haven't called me back. I've left 2 messages. I don't know what to do!!!! I know she could stay next door, but I hate to ask them, since I only thought it would be for 2 nights, and then they'd be in school all day. I'm so mad, and Jeff is totally offended that this other couple won't return our calls. This is the little girl that I don't really like, but we have helped them out soooo much. They are not from the area either, so when both parents travel for business, or work late or whatever, I have not only kept their daughter on school nights, but she sometimes comes home from school with Ally so I can take her to dance class at 4pm. Which means I have to feed her an afternoon snack, then leave work for 20 minutes or so to take her to dance. I'm so put out with them right now!!!!

Oh, and BTW, Jeff and I were saying that all those people who need to be rescued during a hurricane, that had a mandatory evacuation order, should be fined a very hefty fine, and thrown in jail until they can pay. Period. They should not be allowed to put the rescuers' lives at risk because of their own stupidity. And I think it should be a fine of like $5K or something very serious. That would make people stop and think before "riding out" the next hurricane.

Good morning girls!
The party was fun. The rain hasn't stopped here yet. VERY gloomy. I MUST get stuff done today. I must!

Hi Pam!
Hi Laura!
Crazy reading Tina...freaky!
Kara...I hope everything works out for you for the trip. Those people shouldn't have offered if they didn't mean it!

I'll check in later.
