BTW Cammie, I gave you the wrong web address - it's www.bestsmileys.com

Kara - I think first grade is a HUGE adjustments for kids. It's not all fun and games like kindergarten was. I'm sure Ally is just finding her way right now and once she realizes what's expected of her, things will improve!

And -- I can't believe you and Debbie are less than a week away from "the happiest place in the world!"

What in god's name is that second smiley doing? The one that looks like it's butt is stuck in a box?

(and-thanks for the new link; the other one just had downloadable smileys)

Bestsmileys.com is the site I've been using. I just couldn't find the giant ones like you used the other day.:confused3

It's walking with a backpack!!! I couldn't find one with a Baggalini! ;) :rotfl2:

And Ally's in 2nd grade this year. She did great in 1st grade, but for some reason she's really struggling. And she is soooo emotional. Jeff just says she has PMS already! :lmao:

OMG, I'm watching some of these homes in Galveston, the people are sitting on their deck and the waves are ALREADY washing up under their homes!!! These homes will be washed out to see with this storm! Why would anyone even think of staying?? :scared1:

Oops - my bad! Sorry! I have no words of wisdom then.

I'm being so psychic here when I say, don't roll your eyes at me Kara, but have you tried organic dairy? All those hormones in the milk can make girls get PMS/AF at 8 they say. :confused3 It might be worth it for a month or so to see if there is a mood shift.

I'll chime in on other things later...

BUT CAMMIE - I need that laugh so bad today. It was great! My friend is stressing, bigtime stressing, so I must do this for her. You know.

Ricky (I called him that some time back joking he was like Ricky Ricardo in I Love Lucy). He curses in spanish when he stubs his toe, etc. :rotfl2:

Okay, off to start my project. I promise to catch up with you guys tomorrow. Some trips are getting so close!

And for the 3 night thing - the kids for whatever reason are homebodies. Nicolas started it at night 2 at WDW. i thought it was because Carlos wasn't there. Mia was all out of sorts about missing her room. Nicolas started at day 3 asking HOURLY if we could go home - he missed his "stuff" and his bedroom. :confused3 I'm okay with it, cause that just means when Mia is 4 or so we need to go back for a whole week.

Now keep in mind where we live, 3 nights really can be 4 full days. We can be on a plane at 5 am or 7 am and get there very early. Then we can fly out as late as 8pm I think. We might bump up to 4 but my gut is that the kids will be "done" by then. I just really think so based on this trip and the one before with Nicolas.

Hi Girls..
Sorry I haven't been around. I am just trying to get stuff done and the school thing is still a little hectic with all the beginning meetings and classes.
Hey, did you guys see the New Mickey Mammoth Crocs…OMG they are so cute!!!
I'm just sitting here in my "Mickey for President"shirt. It's an oldie but a goodie!
Kara...you never brought the Hip Pain up again. I wonder why we have it? I have mixed feelings about eye brow waxing. If they looked real natural I would say absolutely now but what if a girls eyebrows were really heavy. IDN
I love the pix of Ally when she was little! And I like your cake. I do that kind too.
Laura! Nice cake as well.
Mickey & Minnie have new costumes for MNSSP. I am very excited.
I am VERY nervous about the weather for our trip. I am so afraid it is going to be raining the whole time.
Renee...WELCOME home. I am glad you had fun!!!!!!Aside from the annoyances that occurred. I do agree with the other girls. When we split the trip up between WDW and Naples I feel like the 4 days in WDW is WAY too short. You know your family though.
Hi Cammie and Tammie, Tina and Jillian, Tessa and Pam. Sorry I haven't kept up too well. Sorry if I missed your rants or raves!

Renee - it's funny you mentioned that about the hormones in milk, I was just talking with another mother not too long ago about how the girls today look so much older, they are starting their periods younger, filling out younger, etc, and we think it's from all the hormones in meat, dairy, you name it!

Have you ever tried soy milk? I keep seeing the commercials for it and I'm wondering if it tastes like milk? I am a big milk drinker, too, but we always drink skim, always have. Except for baking around the holidays, then I keep whole milk on hand for that.

I'll check back later - just wanted to get in a quick post.

TGIF everybody!

Kara - I'm thinking if you're a skim milk drinker, then soy milk won't bother you either. I go back and forth between the two; it's a different tast, but not a "bad" different. Most people I know can't stand the taste of skim milk, so I think if you've acquired a taste for that, you can pretty much drink any type of milk. Although, I must admit, I think whole milk tastes way too heavy and creamy for my liking!

One other thing, you can also try vanilla soy - that's good too!

that's a good thought. One of the mom's I have in my play group has taken the hormone free thing to heart. She is very dilagent about not buying processed food. I hav debated trying it.

BTW Kara--- I am obesessed with facebook now. I am finding tons of people I haven't seen in ages

Good morning girls!

This has been a constant issue in my house because Elizabeth is a milk addict. I have switched between skim, soy and organic for awhile now. Matthew loves the soy but not regular. So just when I thought I was set my girlfriend told me she heard that women were having hormonal issues because of soy milk as well! Also, did you know that Costco milk has no added hormones and is regular price? It's on the label.

Kara...I stopped by your facebook last night too. When I have more time I might set myself up a page!

Hi Laura!

Laura, I know! I found a buddy from high school on there and it sounds like he's basically a dot com billionaire or something!!! Not that it surprises me....

I do think that the hormones in our food now does have a lot to do with the way kids are growing up. I just can't go totally free. But if I can change just a little, maybe that will help.

I will be so glad when the election is over - I'm already tired of all the attacks and everything. Drives me nuts.

Crazy busy at work today - I had 7 voice mails to return first thing this morning! And then I kept getting more voice mails cause I was on the phone so much that nobody could get through to me! I still have 5 left, and I'm sure I'll get more..... Not a good Friday so far!

Jeff is going fishing on Sunday which means he'll leave around 4am and won't get home until late afternoon. So I can get us all packed for Disney, and then maybe, just maybe..... I'll go get my fabric for my family room curtains!!! I so want a magical fairy to do this for me so I wake up in the morning and say, "wow! great job little fairy!" Something tells me this isn't going to happen though... :rotfl2:

Kara & Debbie - 5 days! WOW! I'm so jealous! I can't wait to see your pictures.

As far as how long to go, we will see. For whatever reason, the last two trips have been "when are we going home". I think it is the toys I guess, I don't know. I'm thinking maybe 4 nights, but seriously limiting our activities. It will be a different kind of trip, that is for sure, but even Carlos said we could "splurge" a little more on the room.

I have a splitting headache today. I took Motrin, which I'm not suppose to mix with the celexa, but it seems to help. I have no idea why it is so nasty today. I'm so far behind in EVERYTHING, maybe it is stress related. Could be it totally.

I've still not caught up girls, bad, bad, bad... I know. I worked until 1 am on my friends stuff. That is tonight. I go to help her at 5 pm and we should get home at 12 am. Carlos and I had a big fight last night about him feeling like I think he doesn't do anything around the house. After two hours, I'm not sure either of us changed the way we view things. I still think he is crazy in saying that. He works, yes, but he even comes to me to tell me Mia is stinky. WTH? Change her yourself. So that could be my headache too. I honestly think I haven't babied him over the foot and he is sulking. :rolleyes1

I think I will go to Target today and get some hairpins. I got my haircut again yesterday. We went more red this time (I think I like it) and she cut it differently. It was in that inverse bob, but now it is more rounded around my face and can flip out or under. She showed me a cute way to pin it with bobby pins (never used them before) but I want to get some to try.

That and lots of ... :laundy: ! :)

HELLO to everyone. Hope you are all doing well. I promise i will catch up - just might take a bit.

I THINK a new computer for ME is in the works. My BF is a computer person - and has a 3 year old laptop "lying around collecting dust". She's offered to let me use it. I'm thinking I may leave this one to Carlos and just get my own. :cool1:
