I know!!! It is way too much to pay for little girls clothes! And they're not even "little girls" clothes in my opinion. Way to trendy in the high school way for me....
Okay, I sent you one- then you used one from someone else..but, I didn't get one. The system only let me send 5 at a time.
That's so weird. I thought you were just replying to me! I think it's cause I tried to send more than 5....
I looked everybody up at Christmas, too! I have google earth, so I've seen the tops of some of your houses - fun, cuz I can imagine where you are when you are talking about your lives!
Ooooh, I"m gonna do this!
I was thinking about all of you for coffee this morning, but I couldn't get the time to get on - the kids were up bright and early today.
I'm sipping my coffe right now!
Jillian - I really hope things work out for your trip, and with Mike's job. That is just so stressful!
Debie - how did Elizabeth do this morning? We almost missed the bus this morning. We were pulling out the golf cart and the bus barrelled by! We got there just fine, and luckily he cruises back around about 3 minutes laters so if we miss the first run, we can catch him then.... But he's coming about 10 minutes earlier than he is scheduled.
Happy Hump Day everyone!
ITA about the little kids clothes, Kara! Glad you caught the bus. That's nice that he makes 2 sweeps.
Hiya all,
Kara - happy hump day to you too!!! Still makes me giggle...
Debbie - hope the little one settles in at school, probably a bit overawed by it all.... ours started back yesterday too.... and break for our half term the last week of October...
I started back to school yesterday too - supervising at lunchtimes... On my little walks around to check everyone is outside playing I came across a little darling stood by her coat peg and said she had to go out to play, she said to me "But it's so busy, I don't know ANYbubby and I don't know what to do....." I felt for her sooo much and tried not to giggle at the "anybubby" took her hand and wandered over to the older more confident kids, who soon had her chatting and playing beautifully - so just remember - even if they have sad little moments, there are folks like me there to help.... I had a little picture of us holding hands passed to me today - took all my power not to cry!!!! I do love my job, just wish there were more hours!! ..... and now I'm dealing with younger ones again I find it sooooo rewarding.
Cheers,
Tessa
Tessa, you are so sweet! The kids are lucky to have you working at their school!![]()
Good "late" morning everyone! I sent Lauren off to her first day of 7th grade this morning - and cried! I don't ever think I'll be happy with my children getting older!![]()
Here's a glimpse of your future, Kara. In first grade, you can dress them in head-to-toe Disney attire; come middle school - it's all about shopping at the big name stores. Lauren's entire outfit was found at Abercrombie.......
![]()
She really liked the way she looked so I was glad to send her out the door feeling somewhat confident. Even though, over dinner last nite, she revealed to me how nervous she was about the first day - didn't know who was in her lunch period; or in three of her core classes. So of course, I sit here and worry about my baby sitting all alone! I don't know who the first day of school is worse for!![]()
Pam - Glad to see you're back!
I'll check back in later everyone; I'm off to get ingrediants for choc.chip cookies - our traditional first day of school snack!
Oh! Lauren looks so grown up and beautiful - no wonder you cried!![]()
What a good mom, baking cookies! My boys used to make such a big deal if I ever, because I never, baked - it made me feel bad that I didn't do it more!![]()
So shopping last night was a great success. DD9 got a cute jumper with black pants to wear today from Ltdtoo. I talked with the sales girl and she said all Ltd toos will be Justice by the spring. Interesting. I think both places are super expensive!! I'd rather shop at Savers and get second hand then pay the prices at Ltd too. Last night Gramma was paying and she wanted Ltd too, so away we went. We actually got jeans at Justice for $7 that were priced $20, of course I didn't correct the sales. I know I'll go to hell for that. My mom pulled out a cute fushia cordoury outfit for DD6 - skort, sweater top with a sequin cami - very cute - until I priced it $60+ and that didn't include the $14 cami - give me a break she's only 6 yo!
This is why I will be making my kids clothes for as long as I can. Thank goodness they both have the basics, jeans, shirts, etc. All we have to do is add in the sweaters, but my goodness. No wonder the average household has to work 2 jobs and can't pay their bills. It's not the gas prices, it's the price of the kids clothes.
Okay I have to go DD9 is making me crazy about her clothes, now it's her toothpaste. I still have to shower and get ready for work, then get DD6 up and deal with her craziness.
Have a get day everyone!!![]()
Glad your shopping went well, Tina, and that school went well.
Debbie, so nice to have you around - I understand about not wanting to dis when DH is around. I feel that way when mine comes home and I'm laying in the recliner, computer on my lap..![]()
Have a great trip, Renee - come back with pictures!
Hi Pam, Keahi, Jillian, Laura, Maureen....everyone else!
but, I didn't get one. The system only let me send 5 at a time.
Typically they are southern country folk. But I can't really describe them in words. Just to say I've known MANY living in South Carolina!!!!

BUT COLDER!!!!!
And yes - she's sleeping! Was not happy about being up in her chair that early; but guess that's one of the benefits of being in a wheelchair -- you can sleep whenever you want and you'll still get to where you need to go!
